While you mentioned that the shifters are not original, you failed to mention that the rear derailleur is not original either.
I think you have two posts mixed together.
I was commenting on the Lotus having the RD replaced with an upgrade to a Cyclone from the Mountech. I concur on the Voyageur having had downtube shifters changed out but that to me was a downgrade so I didn't mention it.

Vintage Lotus Mixte Touring bike - $100 (Durango)
This Lotus bike was probably built in 1983. It is a 20" bike with 12 speeds, 27"tires, a mountain bike rack and cup holder. The frame and fork are Mangaloy 2001 tange tubing with Shimano 600 derailleurs front and back and stem shifters. The caliper brakes also have extension levers. I can deliver in the Durango area.

Very tough to find early high end model Trek. A 1977 (my research indicates this to be a 1977 model) vintage TREK Silver-brazed TX900 24” frameset from Waterloo WI (Serial #J43S03). The TX900 was TREK’s the early top-of-the-line road race frame set, dating from 1976 to mid-1978. The lugged Columbus SL Double-Butted tubing, racing geometry, and fastback seat stays were characteristic of this model. Components are Campagnolo Nuovo, Supurbe, Cinelli, Brooks. See below. This TX-900 has the original fastback seat stay, which was discontinued the next year. It was labor-intensive to manufacture. The frame and fork is clean with no evidence of a crash. The paint is really nice and bright. There is a decent scratch/ paint gouge on the right side top tube - see pics.
I dont know much of this bikes history other than I acquired it along with a big lot of other vintage high end nice condition road bikes.

Rare, hard to find Cilo!
Cilo was a Swiss manufacturer of bicycles that filed for bankruptcy in 2002. The bicycles were produced on the shores of Lake Geneva in Romanel-sur-Lausanne in the Vaud canton.
Cilo co-sponsored the cycling team Cilo–Aufina with Aufina from 1980 to 1986, and then Atari and Ciclolinea in 1992.
The Cilo was a racing bicycle made of Reynolds 531 or Columbus tubing with the typical Swiss attention to detail. It had chromed forks, drop-outs and rear stays. All lugs were chromed and polished. The components included full 'top-of-the-line' Campagnolo, although Campy brakes were an option. Brooks saddle, Cinelli road bars and stem, Christophe clips and straps were provided. Silk tubulars mounted on Cerchio Fiamme rims were standard.
The Cilo company was a quality bike building organisation and their racing bikes were used by several world champions because of the high level of Swiss, quality workmanship. They were specialists in both Reynolds 531 and Columbus tubing. Their bikes weren’t cheap to buy either, but if you grew up in the 1960s, 70s & 80s along the lake Geneva corridor, you rode a Cilo of some sort.
I am not the original owner and do not know this particular bikes history. It looks to be welt cared for. Paint is a beautiful metallic blue and in great shape, except for a few normal use scratches.

Rare, hard to find Cilo!Cilo was a Swiss manufacturer of bicycles that filed for bankruptcy in 2002. The bicycles were produced on the shores of Lake Geneva in Romanel-sur-Lausanne in the Vaud canton.
Cilo co-sponsored the cycling team Cilo–Aufina with Aufina from 1980 to 1986, and then Atari and Ciclolinea in 1992.
The Cilo was a racing bicycle made of Reynolds 531 or Columbus tubing with the typical Swiss attention to detail. It had chromed forks, drop-outs and rear stays. All lugs were chromed and polished. The components included full 'top-of-the-line' Campagnolo, although Campy brakes were an option. Brooks saddle, Cinelli road bars and stem, Christophe clips and straps were provided. Silk tubulars mounted on Cerchio Fiamme rims were standard.
The Cilo company was a quality bike building organisation and their racing bikes were used by several world champions because of the high level of Swiss, quality workmanship. They were specialists in both Reynolds 531 and Columbus tubing. Their bikes weren’t cheap to buy either, but if you grew up in the 1960s, 70s & 80s along the lake Geneva corridor, you rode a Cilo of some sort.
I am not the original owner and do not know this particular bikes history. It looks to be welt cared for. Paint is a beautiful metallic blue and in great shape, except for a few normal use scratches.
