Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Coldest winter I ever experienced was summer in San Francisco.

Not hard, just swap the chlorine feeder for a chlorine generator.

Instead of injecting chlorine into the pool, you dump bags of salt. The generator converts the salt to chlorine. Other than that it’s pretty much the same.

When we built our current pool we considered salt. Got talked out of it. Pool builder said the generators don’t last long and are expensive. The salt also corrodes flagstone very fast, and we have flagstone in our design. Builder said they quit doing them because of issues like that.

Either way, you are using chlorine as a sterilizer.

Marina and the Diamonds have been one of my obsessions since that "I am not a Robot" song came out.

ETA:
I've been sitting here watching the Indy 500 and wondering how I was introduced to the Robot song and I'm pretty sure it came up on my "The xx" Pandora station from back then.

Everyone had an awesome time, though. We really lucked out with the weather, too. Forecast from the day before indicated rain starting at about 1PM. It didn't start until we were pulling out of the parking lot at around 4PM. Also 55 degrees in the woods is my favorite riding temperature.
Sounds like an awesome day!

Interesting. It doesn't taste or smell like a chlorine pool, so I assume it generates enough instead of way more than necessary.

Mrs. rjones28 did her first ride of the season that featured significant elevation gain today. Just over 1,000 feet in 20 miles.

I took the work bike.

A properly maintained chlorine pool will not taste or smell like chlorine. Chlorine in a pool doesn’t smell or taste. The smell/taste is from chloramines.

Read this - https://www.frommers.com/trip-ideas/...swimming-pools

Our pool never smells, but we don’t have heavy swimmer loads.
