Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

You know, looking at that picture, I initially thought that seatpost has MASSIVE setback, like 4 cm! But then I looked where the BB center is, and I realized that unlike some seatposts that add a fairing to the back of the post (like the Canyon Aeroad), this one seems to have a fairing at the front. Still, it's a good 2-3 cm.

beware. I've purchased a number of Chinese cassettes on ebay and Amazon this past year. After 6 or 700 miles the shifting degraded noticeably. So I purchased a couple of genuine sram Force cassettes to replace the cheapies. Then I noticed some of the genuine products look distinctly like the Chinese versions and the Shimano versions were the exact same thing. These sellers are also selling chains marked as Shimano in a very suspect packaging.reminds me of the counterfeit cleats.

I'm still waiting for my 1994 aluminum Cannondale to spontaneously crack-and-fail.

Both of my aluminum Cannondales did not survive the '90s. To be fair, both were MTBs, and both had tubes crushed against rocks during crashes.

Actually, I do think that outside of the playoffs, we should do away with overtime and ties. If the score is equal at the end of regulation, both teams get an L. Who cares if we don't have a .500 record across the league?

Also, "good" news - the exercise-induced hematuria is from a kidney stone. So, not fun, but not a big deal in the grand scheme of things (from what I understand). And would have just grown worse if I hadn't found it by running.

Sold my CAAD5 with about 30K miles on it and no cracks. A friend borrowed it and crashed it and gouged the fork, though. Sold my Cannondale touring bike last year. No cracks but very low miles. It was a 1988 model, I think. My K2 mtb was not so fortunate.

Yikes! That's not how that's supposed to look.

These were from a brick & mortar US retailer, just reduced 25%. Nothing otherwise suspicious.

Just checked my chain on my cervelo and it’s already showing time to replace. Checked my records and I have only put 1000 roughly on it.

I usually get closer to 2500.

Yeah, it was making weird noises, too. I figured it out just before a descent. Only had to walk a mile or so to the house.

It's going to be 70 degrees here on Sunday. I have a 60 mile gravel ride on Saturday, in the cold. 60 miles and 2200 ft....on gravel. (Sigh) I hate the off season. It makes no sense.
I ordered a pair of 40 cm wide bars as an experiment for the zwift set up. I have 42s on it now and still get numb hands. But it is better than my out door bikes with 44cm bars. My hands go numb frequently, and I'm sick of it. So Im going to try what Coach Scott on you tube suggests. To wide of a bar bends the wrists, which mine do. I m starting to think he's right and that's the problem. Time will tell.

I put 40s on all of my bikes. I was doing it for the aero benefit but I have to say my hands have not been getting numb on any bike since I made the switch.

If I hadn't just gone through an excrucating day with a kidney stone, the Coke-colored urine the next day would have been alarming. This was some years back, and it only happened the one time.

Any day now, that Cannondale is going to crack and fall off the hook it's hanging by!

Looking at selling prices for houses, it's clear the best time to sell our house would have been 6 months ago, while the best time to buy another one seems to be coming soon. Thanks, Federal Reserve Board!

My wife’s new Emonda had a lot of setback and the dealer swapped in a zero setback for her.
