Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Oi… mom is using the “correct the child” voice. A lot. For things that she knows I prefer to do a different way.

Not a vacation trip…

Some friends and some of their friends just came back from Arkansas where they rode gravel bikes for a week. They said it was great and all want to go back.

Likely story. Looks more like Brokeback Cyling, the Geriatric Years.

She can already get around slowly on her walker. She will need help still throughout, and it started even the day before when I was helping her change her sheets.

After hitting some bars lately,

1. Bars where the hot college kids are absolutely reek of vape juice. Way more disgusting than cigarette smoke. It's like poisonous pineapple and birthday cakes.

2. There are still some bars where you can get pretty ripped for $20. Wait, you're going to give me this way-too-strong Bushmills and water for $5.75? Wow. This is in stark contrast to what you pay for drinks at a baseball game.

the '70s never stopl This one rules for the sweet groove, badass marimba solo, and the way he almost pronounces Chesapeake with only 2 syllables!!!!
