Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

You want one? I have two because I thought the cheaper one wasn't working properly and then the more expensive one gave me the same results.

I don't know if I want one. Might freak me out to discover how bad my chains are.

Oh don't worry. These tell you your chain is perfectly fine until it's chewing up your chainrings.

The forecast rain arrived a couple of hours early this afternoon. this of course, meant that instead of riding home before the rain I had the dubious pleasure of riding into a headwind in the rain.

My app says I have had three 2's but I am pretty sure all of them were fairly early on. I have a strategy that increases my 3s/4s but almost guarantees no more 2's.

Cutting dovetails again today. The time just goes away. I look up and three hours have passed. One of these days I'll cut a presentable one.

Wordle 495 3/6.

I got a new phone last week, and lost all my history. Since then, I've hit a lot more 3/6 than anything else. A shift in starting word might also be a factor.

I am going to change my chain this evening if I have the energy. I have been reading up that counterfeit Shimano chains are being sold on sites like Amazon and Scam-Bay....and the two 11s chains I have on the pegboard were bought recently from Ebay, so now I am worried I might be putting on a fake.

Fake chains? Sad!

Fake posting?

Nope. It's real. And it's spectacular. Kinda like Sidra.

Ugh, that sucks! I have watched a few youtube videos to try to educate myself on identifying real vs. fake. Apparently the fakes are sometimes nearly identical to the real mccoy.

Yeah, I think I'll stick with real Shimano vendors. Or buy KMC from the same vendors.

Thats why I just buy YBN chains direct from Molten Speed Wax. They’re pre-prepped too
