Panhandle trail - near the Walker's Mill end in Collier

parts of the trail were wet / soupy - heavy frost over night then warmed by the sun ... felt like we were riding in quicksand at times

planned to do a road ride in Lawrence County - but got a late start so headed to the Panhandle trail

No room for bicycles

Usually park at the bike rack. At least there's room at the railing.

This was a train station toilet in Birmingham, England. I wasn't even wearing a dress

And I wondered what the caped crusader was up to these days, seems he went into dentistry.

4 of us have been doing rides on Tuesdays for some time now, sometimes others join. We pick routes with low car traffic.

Later we went up this box canyon which is closed to cars

First part is Roadrunner road, parallel to Sand Canyon. Then Placerita canyon and the last part is Pico canyon in Stevenson Ranch. A little bike path thrown in.

Ride to Work

Once a year, on a day off, I ride all the way to work. 25 mi one way.

Along the Grand Canal

Kiwanis Park in Tempe

Along the Western Canal in Tempe

No pix from the ride home as it was dark.

I live near East Peoria, the original home of Caterpillar and these are still made there. It's one of the big D series. It looks like it has a ripper attachment but I really have no idea. I was a highway engineer and never saw one on a project so I'm guessing a bout the ripper part.

Not my shot but found this in my FB feed as I like old photos. I really like her casual demeanor as she rides bare footed up to the phone booth and settles in comfortably for a long conversation after putting her quarter in the phone.
