Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

This happened somewhere behind me on the course Saturday. I heard about it at one of the rest areas but only that someone got really hurt.

I feel really bad for everyone involved.

Thanks, Four years ago, the docs weren't as positive as they are now but despite the metastases and continued growth, they are pretty confident that they can keep it in check.

A few weeks ago, I scored a great deal on a pair of Sidi Tiger 2 MTB shoes (equivalent to the Shot 2 road shoe). I really wanted to love them, but despite multiple attempts at adjusting the fit with a variety of different insoles, my narrow and thin foot just isn't happy in the shoes. Hopefully, I can sell them for most of what I paid. Bummer.

If anyone is interested in a hardly-used, size 44.5, PM me.

Not to suggest there is anything wrong with your shoes, and just to compare idiosyncrasies, I'd rather share food than wear shoes worn by others. Lol

When my daughter got married last year, there was no way I was wearing rental shoes or a rental tux. Ended up buying formal shoes and the tux even though I would likely only wear the monkey suit once. I would just have not enjoyed the evening wearing the rentals.

Show me two blue shirts - one new and one worn once by someone else and cleaned - and one will go in the trash and one I will enjoy. Put the used one on me, and I'll feel like I have the plague.

I'm weird that way.

That's not that uncommon, but I don't have that sensitivity.

The amazing thing about those old 356s is that the 911 was clearly an evolutionary step from them, but it has looked timeless for 60 years, while the 356s looked old by 1960.

What's crazy is how much the model has grown as shown in these 1964 versus 2020 photos:
