Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

New custom frame by builder Paul Taylor: Reynolds carbon top/seat tubes, Columbus Spirit/Life steel remainder.

Build will be campy Record with a custom wheelset but I'm not sure what I'm gonna build yet. The fork in pic is a placeholder until I decide what to use, probably an Edge. I have a brand new Easton SLX90 nano-carbon setting here but those Edges have caught my eye...

I ordered them from PBK. They are new for Spring, so taking a chance since there aren't any reviews of them yet. We'll see how they feel when I get them

^That frame is goegeous.

that serrota is amazing. great picture too!

I finally did a 2 mile run in my trisuit. very cool. I think it helped my performance and form! of course i wore shorts and t-**** over it but I knew it was there. plus the yellow pin stripe on my legs showed a little under the shorts and the t-shirt didn't get messy with sweat cuz he tri's top acted as a barrier. I think I looked quite good.

Picked this up on Bonktown recently for $599. It's going to take me forever to finish the build, but it'll eventually get carbon wheels & a Rival groupset.

Winter is on the way here - a few things to make riding more safe or comfortable.

Got the front one after being impressed by the rear light I've had for a while.

I use 3/4 bibs quite a lot and needed some more. My favourite Giordanas aren't available at the moment, but these DHB ones from Wiggle are very good value.

Good Sugoi quality, as always.

Pair of Sidi Genius 5 (I think) shoes. Almost new condition, just a few scuffs on the right shoe.

Set of Speedplay X2 pedals and cleats. Appears to be very little wear.

Got all of it for $100.

Note to anyone interested: the summer lightweight jersey should be sized up from the classic!

When ever on a trip , I can't avoid bike shops.. Most recent foray into REI in the US, a new set of REI gloves, another Topeak Morph Pump, and a smallish sized handlebar bag, along with a set of Panaracer Pasela Tour Guard Tires. I was eyeballing a Specialized Tri Comp Touring bike. Next time.

A set of these, as my old ones are starting to show minor perforations and have become more black than yellow:

Though this time I decided to go with plain black as it has too much of a Hot Wheels feel to it.
