Crap. They make some fancy after-market mounts that might be better than the stock mount. I notice that my stock mount gradually slides down my seatpost, but so far no jettison event yet.

Any Addict home cooks care to weigh in on the following?
Received a 12" All-Clad D3 (stainless with aluminum core) skillet last week. All-Clad has a factory sale going on and I see that I can get the Copper Core 12" skillet for about ~$70 more (regular price would be something like $150 more). Jump on it for the lifetime cookware or put the skillet upgrade money towards bike crap?

Having had some really bad experiences with various dentists for the last 50+ years, I am afraid to go to anyone new. Part of the anxiety I am having is because I have to see 2 specialists I have never met and nobody can recommend them for me.

Will it not work? If I ever buy an emonda I had planned on buying the same set up. I never talked to anyone at trek about it, but I don’t see why it wouldn’t.
I think we have had this discussion before. I’m getting old.

I went through this “path” to get to the colonial parkway. I usually walk it because it’s sooooo not bike friendly. The flies were terrible this morning, so I opted to stay on the bike. I guess the bumps on the “path” combined with the rough parkway was too much for the Varia. Thank god there was no traffic, I would be pissed if it gotten ran over. I can’t imagine riding without it now.

Anyone ever buy I bonds?? Apparently they give a ridiculously high 9.6% APR, but you have to sign up and buy them online. I am wondering how much of a nuisance it is to go through that.
I seem to recall Velo Vol mentioned this awhile ago, but he is on hiatus.

Now, none of them is the really fancy level, but... I'd vote new bike parts. Or anything else that might bring actual enjoyment or quality of life upgrades.

In another instance of, "well, I guess that's good timing?" my LBS put a bunch of apparel on sale, including all of their in-stock Rapha. They had a maroon LS jersey that I'd been eyeing, so I swung by and picked it up, since I tore my other LS jersey yesterday. Not only did they have it at 35% off, but they had it at the old MSRP (Rapha prices, like everything, went up recently), too, so it was $15 less than even Rapha's current sale price

The speced bars are “Aeolus RSL Integrated Bar/Stem.” I have no idea what the temporary bars will be but the “Aeolus RSL Integrated Bar/Stem” will be the final when available.
