Most one-sided, front-of-knee issues in runners and cyclists are patella tracking problems caused by a strength imbalance between the medial and lateral knee extensors. That responds to rest, NSAIs, and strengthening exercises. Go to a good sports med clinic and see if I’m right.

I got diagnosed with that last year. I just don’t remember which knee was bothering me last year. Also, last year the pain was only on the bike. You are probably right though.

I ride too much and so far have not been impressed. It works for the ritchey because I can’t get that bike wet, but the cervelo I frequently ride in the rain. The first time I waxed the cervelo it got wet the next day and it rendered the wax useless. I decided to not wax that chain again.
Today it took me a total of 3 hours to wax the ritchey chain. 3 hours from the time I took it off and put it back on.
If I had the funds to buy 3 spare chains for each bike, I would probably be more onboard, but having no spares at the moment, not worth it too me.

they perform better than most of the other mechanical systems (if not all) and are easy to set up and adjust ; 3mm hex adjusts pads in and out
still not as good as a quality hydraulic system - but still fairly good

Starting to get a little concerned about my left knee. Over the course of about 3 weeks, i’ve noticed pain in my left knee when walking. I don’t notice it at work, but as soon as I get home I would feel it. The pain would start before I even got a ride in, and I don’t have the pain when riding. The pain wasn’t consistent enough for me to give it much thought,
but today it hurt most of day. I can feel it now as I lay in bed.
The pain is prolly only about a 4 out of 10, but I wonder what it could be.

I almost used this today in another forum, where the clientele are a bit stodgier than here. It seems I resist the urge almost daily. I am already the problem child over there

And the beat rain goes on. I have only been in these parts for 14 years, but this rainy season we're having is from another age. I'm sure it used to be like this when there were still big trees covering the land. It was like this in southern Belize, but southern Belize is rainforest. And it's expected. This is just weird wild stuff. I for one, am ready for it to end. Anytime it's ready. It's been raining steadily since 6 this evening. Thunder rolls through every half hour or so. And it's been raining daily, in the afternoon and evening, since early July.

Finishing up the day's second ruby red grapefruit. The amount left on the tree is steadily declining, but has a ways yet to go.

People have been using Fluid Film for years to prevent rust from forming in Jeep frames. Automotive - Fluid Film (fluid-film.com)
Don't know why it couldn't be used in bike tubes.

Shifter clicks but cable doesn’t move. Took it off the Dr and felt no change in tension as my wife shifted. Checked that the bead is seated in the shifter. It appears to be.
Are you suggesting pulling on the tail as I shift and while it’s tight in the Dr? Have not done that, but can. Or did you mean do something else?

any progress ?
shifter ok ?
could it be the shifter is pushing back on that wild looking sport coat you were considering?

Out for a family walk, visiting a book store along one of the neighborhood lakes, and had to take a one block detour to see this - a Frank Lloyd Wright house that I'd learned of at the museum a couple of weeks ago -

There are evidently two more Wright houses within a few miles, though the closest one doesn't seem very visible from the street.

in future hope to check our more Wright structures in the US

Nice - Cervelo released a new Soloist. More aero than the R5, lighter than the S5. 34mm tire clearance. PF BB. Cable routing similar to some Trek models - external, but tucked under the stem, instead of through it, and then in to the HT.
