This is my beat to heck Novara that I bought from some guy that was dumping it for less than the price of the IGH setup it had. I moved that elsewhere and put on this XT/Dyno/Velocity wheelset and most of a spare MTB drivetrain (the friction shifter you see next to the trigger is for the front derailer). I wasn't really expecting to DO anything with the frameset but it has become one of my favorite bikes.

He said he wanted to use the IGH elsewhere, on another bike I would assume.

I won't be doing much mountainous touring any time soon, so I took apart my touring bike and did something for-fun with it (it kinda fits this thread but I just use it for grocery runs right now). The bags I have on it are overkill, but I never find myself needing extra space. The first picture is a 'before'. The IGH is cool and all but it always feels a little 'squishy'.

....also my 20" bmx commuting setup. This is my childhood bike and my favorite, I think it's 24 years old already (and I'm 32 years old). It's not that bad for a long commute, just slower and a bit tiring because of single speed, smaller wheels and thicker tires, but it's maneuverable and less maintenance bacause it's smaller and single speed type. I have been riding it to up to 40 kilometers.

I like the umbrella holster. Haven't seen one of those before.

My 1986-vintage department store MTB (a Krane EasyRoad) which I've owned since I was 12 or 13 (I'm 43 now). This pic was taken last year, tires have since been replaced with road tires.

I'm in the process of rebuilding and upgrading it to serve as my commuter. This is the "Before" pic:

Yeah, I'm pretty attached to it, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered putting any money into upgrading it.

I have a couple of other bikes, but this one's my favourite. I guess after 30 years I'm just used to the way it handles!

@Vaclav we're the same, I also have BMX bike which is 24 years on hand. It is my favorite compared to my other bikes because I have been riding it since I was a kid.
I'm looking forward to see your bike's "after" pic.

@ModManZZZ Nice to see I'm not the only sentimental one here!

"Juggernaut" is a work-in-progress, I have the vast majority of the parts I need, just need the time to install 'em. It's also been a great way to learn - I've gone from knowing nothing about bike mechanics to knowing next-to-nothing!

Hope to start commuting by the end of the month.

My mom's bike for her exercise, cruising, and commuting, and it's her favorite. Bought in year 1981. It's an old school schwinn bmx model I think. She's not capable of riding/balancing a two wheelers because she's old and it's dangerous for her that's why I went to metalshop to wheld me a balancer wheels based on my ilustrated plan/scheme. It's now a quadracycle.
