My second Chromebook is having system UI difficulties. Appears to be unsolvable. I've begun looking at Apple products, tablets in particular. I swore off Microsoft years ago, and am looking to put Android in the rear view mirror as well. I'm liking the Air 4, for my needs. Mostly video watching. And surfing with a screen big enough to see detail on. The phone doesn't meet those criteria.
It's interesting to note that Apple products cost twice as much, in Mexico as they do in the USA. Economy of scarcity.
I've been PC all my life, because my wife has always been PC, and I was late to the party.
A new world awaits

Reminds me. Terrible towel, AZ edition, report:

They are pulling out all the stops. Fireworks for every starting player intro. AF flyover.
They even had a moving solo trumpet rendition of the Star-spangled Banner by Dr. Jesse McGuire. Only the second time I've seen him do it live. Way better than stupid singers

so, how about a serious topic for a thread titled "addiction."
does anyone ever wonder if that positive feeling during and especially after a ride leads to an actual addiction, one in which daily mood outside of riding opportunities is actually WORSE than it would be otherwise? i've noticed lately that if i take a day or two off i feel like i'm in a funk, a little blue, etc. not sure if that's just how i'd feel all the time without some exercise, scenery, and fresh air, or if it's some sort of exaggerated downswing in response to the huge upswing after a ride. it's fascinating how you can intellectually know that everything is exactly the same as it was a couple hours ago, but feel SO much better about it after a ride.

Went on a group ride tonight. Advertised pace was 16-17, real life pace was 17-18 and surging the entire time. Also nobody could decide whether they wanted to ride single file or two abreast.
It was fun but there is a lot of room for improvement. Also 40mph through a rough corner with a group is a bit terrifying
The ride home was nice though

Did see a house that my wife and I loved in Coronado. Only problem is that the asking price is $32 million. I’m about $31.5 million short.

I will also note anecdotally that endurance athletes tend to be a wee bit on the neurotic side and might not have the merriest baseline. I think it was LAJ of blessed memory who told the joke about a bike racer who was participating in a behavioral economics experiment where they were offered the proposition of receiving 10 bucks while their worst enemy received a million. The rider responded, "Hell yeah, I could use a million bucks!"

Seriously, I had two days in a row off this week due to bad weather and besides trying to eat everything in the house, I huddled in a recliner and felt like ****, seriously depressed.

Going to an unofficial spring breakout club ride later and it will be quickly apparent as soon as we hit the headwind or a hill who was outside or on the trainer over the winter as opposed to who hibernated.
