No commute yesterday due to a DR appointment.
No commute today due to rain and cold temperatures, east wind off the Atlantic.
No commute likely tomorrow or the day after or the day after, etc., for the same reasons.
The juncos have applied for a long-term lease on our backyard. They know something we don't know, I guess.
This is the winter that won't end.

I rode today my usual 12 miles before I go to work. I didn't miss a day in April and had my best milage to date: 449 miles for the month. I am surprising myself and enjoying the bike more than I would have ever thought.

No ride yesterday. Went and picked up my wife's new ICE Sprint recumbent trike. 35 hot and windy miles this morning. Half with my wife on her new trike and the other half solo.

Good 37 miler with the wife in a global warming temperature range. Waved to my bikeforums buddy Latif (hot in Blue Lake, huh, Latif?).

Hot here in Arcata too, 85 today! Got 41m in today getting ready for the Tour of the Unknown Coast a week from Sat., it'll be my first century. There's rain in the forecast for early next week, hopefully it'll clear by then. Good to see you and Lena out there today.

Not so hot in the Heartland today but can't complain - most of the day in the 50's. Kind of wet now but held off until after I finished the return leg of my bike commute. (20 miles total)

Hot, humid and consistently windy for my daily ride this morning. Got in 44 miles and fought for every one of them during the last part of the ride. The gusts were brutal.

23 miles yesterday. Other than heavy winds it was a real BIKE kinda day. Last ride before Saturdays GASP century from Austin to Shiner TX. Friday is the "totally unofficial Bikeforums team" meet and greet in Austin. Will post team photos Sunday or Monday. We are expecting 20 -30 fans to watch our progress and join in the Shiner beer and fun at the end.

I crashed hard and broke my pelvis in three places 8 weeks ago... it's been a long recovery but this week I've been riding to work every day and I'm going to give the local Mountain a go on Saturday.

16.6 miles this afternoon, intervals to try and stretch my strength for speedier rides out a little. I'm working on moving up to the snail level from a simple crippled slug
. The ligustrum are blooming this week, after the torrential rains, it smells nice while riding in our area.

Rode my 34 mile loop, 17 mi. out in 52.21 min. @ 19.3 mph, return 17 in 51.47 min. @ 19.4, a PR for me on the return segment.
I had my first lay down since going clipless, was at the end of my ride doing cool down loops that took me onto the road, got to the crossing barely moving and looked right first instead of left and couldn't unclip fast enough. Scuffed the bar tape a little.

36 easy miles in Florida. I rode to the beach and walked around in a small farmers market. On the way home, hammered by rain and decided to stop and have my 2nd breakfast of the day (bagel). Overall - great ride minus the rain portion.
