Disc is torn and leaking but MRI showed the tear. Leak is a new finding although suspected. Options to be discussed with Neurosurgeon on Oct 11th. Pain was not produced however which makes me worry the culprit was not found. Leaking from disc on to nerves can cause the pain but I was told by 18 months that should have stopped but Leaking and pain is still present after 2 years.
Gastro issue remains a mystery a drug was prescribed that might help with my idiopathic abdominal issue.. similar to but wasn't called IBS. Called functional Bowel Syndrome. I think they're making stuff up. Without clothes I'm now 166 with my stick like legs.

The pic of Bam's little girl on the bike brings back a memory. When our son was about that age, we took him and our daughter bike riding on a similar trail. Our son was in front of me just like in that picture, and the girls were behind me. Out of nowhere, a training wheel feel of the son's bike without his knowledge, but he just kept riding along as if nothing happened.
Until my wife announced that he was doing so well without his training wheel, at which time he realized what happened, veered left into the grass, and then crashed.

This is why I weigh myself AFTER morning routine including shower but before getting dressed. Me being a regular guy, it takes that into account.

When I ride the mtb I always take the bigger Camelbak. It's between 8 and about 11 pounds depending on how much water I put in it. I carry a spare tube and those tubes are heavy. When I rode a 26" wheel mtb, the spare tube wasn't much bigger than a road tube.

I have successfully removed ice cream from my diet. It was once a favorite food, as was apple pie. I suppose I could learn how to make a pie. My mom left us and all that great food went with her. She made great pies.

It's an old line I stole from Calvin Trillin, who was trying to justify his eating habits as not having caused all that much weight gain.

Beautiful experience yesterday. I was riding through a valley east of Penn State that has a large Amish population. The one room school houses were letting out for the afternoon. I ended up riding behind five children for about a half mile. They were all probably 9 years old or younger. They were riding those bike-like scooters dressed in traditional clothing. I looked down and noticed all, including the two young girls, were barefoot. At the east end of the valley they peeled off to their respective homes that are close to each other. First, one boy went right, stopping to retrieve the mail from the box. Then a girl went left across the road. The final two boys and a girl went right into the last house before the woods began. I imagined them meeting up the next morning for the trip to school.

Well, shifter problem fixed. I had to take it apart to figure out the problem. Seems there is a ratchet with a cable size hole thru which the cable needs to run. The cable was not run thru it, but you couldn't see it thru the hole in the shifter housing. When it was opened up, it became pretty obvious.
Don't like how much rear housing there is, and will tidy that up later. Probably invert the stem when my back stops hurting.
The Sora bike is now a R7000 105 bike, replete with power meter.
