Hey I've got a similar crop, must be the spring of sort-of-siamese-but-not-really kittens. These fosters are due to be fixed and made available for adoption any minute -- we've had them (and their mom) since they were less than a week old!

My bikes new paint job gets Ruby’s approval. She shows up in pictures around the house all the time. She is the queen of photobombing.

I've found the best way to get over losing a loving friend is to get yourself a new one. We are on our third generation of cats. We usually get a new one when one of the other one/ones are getting somewhat close to leaving us. It helped our kids get over the stress of the death and also seems to help the animal that was terminal live out his remaining time. My wife volunteers at a local shelter and we foster cats if the need is there. Last year we got a kitten for my daughter to get her through the COVID situation. The kitten has also helped one of our adult cats. He had become sedentary and had gained some weight. With the kitten hounding him to play, he has become a playful "kitten" again himself.

And the last time I saw her

She was suffering from chronic kidney disease. She'd been getting subcutaneous fluids for a couple weeks, but then she stopped eating, despite appetite stimulant. She was always sweet and good-natured with me, though she didn't get along with all my other cats.
Very sorry for your loss, that's a decent age but it's never easy losing one. I've lost 3 to kidney issues.

This links point is fast becoming a buddy to me despite his independence. He brings me balls and toys, follows me around and the Siamese in him has given him a new nickname "Mayhem." He likes to get up on furniture and bat at pictures. He is on a break in this pic.

I saw a thing that said the difference between dogs and cats is dogs don't hide their clinginess, while cats act like it's just a huge coincidence that they happen to be in the same room as you 97% of the time. As someone with both, yes. This is accurate.

Two weeks old! And a pair of house guests.

Tootie's babies just turned two weeks old this Thursday and they're coming along just fine:

Meet Charlie and Diamond, the friendly brother and sister whose mom left them with us before she went on a two-week vacation on Wednesday:

What I thought was a rag in the middle turning lane turned out to be a 5 week old kitten scared out of her mind while cars whipped by. Fastest 50 yard sprint on a bike I’ve done in awhile!

bonded while I looked for her litter mates or mother. vetted through the cat rescue group local and new home with me.

Rough look to go with the lousy day

Constant claw and teeth attacks, oh well! Polly be her name.

I was worried also. The Terramycin ointment really did the trick! I was told that the eyes were signs of a respiratory ailment so I also treated her with antibiotics along with dewormer medicine. Of course, the bath with dawn was soon administered.

In 4 months I get her neutered.

Thanks all!

I picked up a kitten in the middle of the road many years ago, stopped commuter traffic to do so. Squeeky little all black thing, a coworker took him home, he lived many years even being diagnosed with feline AIDS. Had to put him to sleep for my coworker when his time came. Good cat that Sabre.

Still haven’t figured out how Polly got there. A full vet visit is coming up soon.

Tragically, I'm guessing tossed out a car window. Most of the cats that have made it to me over the years have been cast offs.
