Nice photo but I'm pretty sure that's not Topsy, who was electrocuted by Edison in 1903. At the time of her death, Topsy was 27 years old and stood 10'. The elephant in the photo is closer to 5 'tall and would be about 5 years old. For it to be Topsy, the photo would have to be about 1880. The men's attire is incorrect for that period, let alone the technology of the elephant-bicycle.

Hey that's home! Well... it used to be. Met his sister at a track meet my senior year, nice girl.

Good times for the area. Ralph kicking butt in college and Dell Curry killing it in High School. Yeah, Stephen Curry's dad.

And to top it off, a bicycle made for three? First time I've ever seen one of those.

Kraftwerk

The electronic music group Kraftwerk was cycling obsessed to the point where it damaged their music career. I haven’t made enough posts to upload a photo or supply a link yet, but DuckDuckGo it and there are many photos.

Santana current makes one, appropriately called the triplet. 2+n bicycles were popular in the 1890s. The Stearns company had a famous sextuplet which was victorious in a one mile race against the Empire State Express train, despite having to utilize the rough grade between adjacent tracks.

WOW! As if the triplet wasn't impressive enough, the sextuplet bike actually raced a train while attaining speeds up to 45 mph? Thanks for the heads up, and here's a link I found pertaining to that race.

I rode a fund raising "bicycle", similar to that pictured in the previous post. Technically, it was a quadricycle, having four wheels. It accommodated thirty cyclists, arranged in three rows of ten. So,a triginticycle?
