^^^ Having a Garmin really adds a fun dimension to riding. If you're a data nut, it's great to be able to analyze your cadence/heart rate/speed as plotted against the geography of your route. Also being able to 'see' where you've ridden is pretty cool. I wore it to monitor my heart rate while mowing the lawn one time. Yeah, I know, I'm a nut.

My last purchase was a pair of Pearl Izumi shorts.
However, my birthday is coming up, and the LOML and I had a short discussion about what I may want.
Seizing the moment and throwing all caution to the wind (she still chides me about the Litespeed acquisition) I mention that it would be really nice to have a new MTB frame (I was a MTBer far longer than I've been a roadie). I've been eyeing a couple titanium possibilities to replace my older Cannondale.
She responded with, "A new frame? Wouldn't it be cheaper just to buy an entire bike outright?"
Good thing I had my back to her, so that she didn't see my eyeballs nearly pop out of my head from the surprise!!! The door is open, and the game is afoot...

Kurt Kinetic Road Machine trainer from REI using 20% off coupon and mostly paid by my member rebate check. Of course, it's back-ordered, so I might not get it for a while.

Bought a bunch of equipment today for my impending bike purchase. A Cat Eye V3 a set of Ultegra pedals a Co2 inflater, bottle cages, tubes, mini tool, and rim tools. I already have this stuff on my current ride but I want to have a kit for both bikes. Yes it's a lot of stuff but were I ride in the boonies I don't want to be without.

3T Team Ergosum bars and 3T Team Arx 110 Stem
Next week or so: 3T Team Doric Seatpost then I should be done. Oh, wait, still looking for a Bontrager Race Lite Front Wheel in the previous style (blue / steel color from 06-07) to match the powertap rear wheel.
