You have that problem, too? I can never find matching stuff without spending a fortune and it drives me nuts.

Not sure if you knew this or not, if not it's a little late now, but Deda does make a silver bar called the Elementi Speciale silver in a 26mm with your choice of 42,44, or 46 widths.

I did get it from Nashbar. I bought it Monday and it is supposed to get here next Wednesday. I was expecting it sooner.

I got one of these:

Combo Cable Bike Lock
at Harbor Freight. Not particularly secure, but I leave it at a coffee stop on one of my routes so I can lock up my bike when I go in to buy a cup of coffee.

I now have five locks distributed around the towns near here.

I did see that on their site, however when you click on the link and look at the specs, the clamp is listed as 31.7mm. Now, that is possibly a typo on their part, but it also wasn't available at PBK. I was looking for low cost and free shipping to get the bars/stem/post replaced on a bike I picked up used that had a 40cm Cinelli EXA bar and Cinelli 1A 80mm stem. Much too small for me.

? Saddle Aliante VSX K:ium
Aliante VSX finally arrived after a three week backorder. 50 mile test ride and I'm fairly pleased with it. Not sure if it should be more nose down (it's at zero degrees now) but so far there's a noticeable improvement in pressure relief on the perineum over the Arione.

$148 at Probikekit. This was a couple weeks ago and they had a 10% off promo for the TdF. Unfortunately, it looks like they raised the price a few bucks since then and the promo is no longer available. If you're diligent about checking, they may run another one. Also, I've gotten 15% off emails from them in the past so that would help, too. Good luck, man.

Told the guy at King Cage the stainless steel bottle cage that had been in regular use for about 12 years had broken (for some reason I thought it was Titanium all that time). He offered me a 2-for one deal on a new cage and 2 cages are in transit now. That's a pretty good guarantee/customer service (and I like the cage as well)

Picked up a set of Schwable One's and Schwable S tires.
I use Schwable's on my Tandem and really like the puncture and cut resistance on them.

On their website they say the "diamond like" (note how they play on that?) is a black coating that is harder than most...does this mean that there are chains with even harder coatings? Who has chain coatings harder than that? That only tells me that somewhere out in the lala land of bike components are a chain or two or maybe more that have an even harder longer lasting chain?

I also bought two of their gold chains (sans fancy box) for the tool box and another Antares 00 Saddle for future considerations.
