Ultegra 160mm brake rotors and resin pads. The front brake suddenly started making a scraping racket, like it had sand or dirt in it. Took the wheel off and removed the rotor to clean it with alcohol and noticed that hmm, it seems a little worn as there's a substantial lip at the edge. Checked with a micrometer and EEEK - 1.38mm! The brake pads were work down to the bone too, so I think what happened was the pad holder rubbed on the lip. That was a Dura-Ace rotor (for purely cosmetic purposes). Grabbed an Ultegra spare I had lying around that was close to new and cleaned and mounted it. New resin pads (last L03A's in my bin), and a caliper adjustment to center the new rotor. Good as new, sweet sweet silence. The D-A one lasted me about two years, so not too bad, but they definitely have a limited lifespan. Checked the rear; rotor was down to 1.53 so got replaced as well; pads were fine so they stayed on.
Ordered some L05A pads and two Ultegra rotors to have on hand.

My wife got me a pair of these for my birthday and I have to say, they are awesome, so I went ahead and ordered 4 more pair and got a few pairs of hiking socks for day to day stuff, my old ones have seen better days. Love me some merino wool.
