My long serving 2013 Fuji Absolute 2.1 heading out for a 4am ride before work. Pics with and without flash. The Schwalbe Marathon reflective sidewalls certainly do the work!

2009 Kona Smoke. I bought it as a “kit”; a bix of parts, some wheels, and a frame set with a seized seatpost. Some of the parts were upgraded, some were missing. With some effort, here’s how it ended up:

New bars and stem are en route. I really like a Northroads style swept bar.

Santa delivered some new bars so had to update pics. Thanks Santa!

They're just some cheapo off Amazon but the bend is remarkably like my current favorite, a Kalloy UNO AL-030 bar. Yesterday was 42 degrees so I figured I ought to try them out. 15 miles is pretty close to my 17.5 mile one way commute to work... Liking them so far!

2020 Specialized Sirrus 3.0
Picked up a 2020 Sirrus a few weeks ago, really enjoying the ride. Quite different from my 1990 Sirrus, which is a road bike, not a hybrid.

This is probably one of my dream bikes, too bad they don't make it anymore. I tried the sport 4 of this variant, it was amazing, but I prefer a 2x system. Congrats on a beautiful bike!

This is my first hybrid. A 2010-ish Raleigh Sentinal. The previous owner took really good care of this thing. I bought out a bunch of his old bike stuff and decided I would keep this for myself for cruising the city trails. I mean who doesn't need just one more bike? Looking forward to trying to commute to work and back on this as well once the weather warms up.

A 1993 Univega Via De Oro. I guess this was Univega's top of the line hybrid. It came with mostly 700CX components. It was in sad shape when I bought it for $20 so by watching a lot of youtube videos and reading through different posts on BikeForums, I learned a lot and managed to clean it up and get it pedaling again. It weighs about 27 pounds but seems to ride "lighter" than 27 pounds. I'm still playing around with the handlebars. Currently it has the Velo Orange Seine handle bar with some bar ends to mimic the Velo Orange crazy bar.

The paint job was rather faded so I used polishing compound to bring back some shine.

I agree and maybe under-appreciated? I usually have issues setting up front derailleurs but with this one I just made sure it was aligned, pulled the cable tight, made one slight adjustment and it has been faultless. The 42 & 20 chainrings are perfect. Would like to learn more about that 32. I thought it looked worn but here’s the thing; I have a 94 De Oro and the 32 on that one looks nearly identical. So are they worn or supposed to be that way? The rear shifter did not work so it has been sitting in degreaser to try and free up the inner works. The rear derailleur works great as well, nice and crisp. Hard to believe it’s 30 years old. Overall a very satisfying experience bringing this back to working order. I like the way the bike looks and like the way it rides.

I think the teeth on your crankset look fine. They look nearly new. I'd just ride it until it gave me problems (which may never happen!). A good degreasing or even a flush of those shifters with WD-40 or Tri flow or some such, while shifting back and forth, should get those shifters working well. Lots of info out there about that. Basically, what happens is the factory grease gets all old and gummed up and won't let the pawls return to engage the next tooth in the mechanism. Get that old grease out out of there and some fresh lube in and all will be well. Nice looking bike!

As posted in other threads, here is my new $12.99 project bike.
Confirmed it is a Schwinn DSB Hybrid 21 speed.
Aluminum frame
700C wheels
Presta valve tubes, rear apparently has a slow leak since it went flat again.
Needs a new seatpost. I have a seat. Seatpost looks like it is a 26.8 mm
I've already replaced the pedals and removed the cable lock that was wrapped around the handlebars.
