Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

You should read Specialized's literature on stem installation.

I've never been a big fan of Giants, but that bike looks dead sexy. The all black w/ just the white letters looks perfect. Just don't go putting white bar tape or a white seat on there. Leave it as is!

*edit* Oh yeah..forgot to say "flip it."

I feel like I have the Walmart special compared to a lot of the bikes in this thread.

Don't worry. It came with white bars/saddle. Those didn't last very long.
And I had it flipped and pretty much slammed for a while. My fitter had me put a few spacers under and 'un-flip' the stem. I'm going to ride with it like this for a few months and see how it goes. I might still flip it but with a slightly shorter stem.

I'm aware of the issue. This was done to achieve a quick fit before an event (and never changed even though it's been awhile). I'll soon be throwing a spacer below the stem, flipping it and cutting the steerer.
