Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

There is a women's training ride from a shop I know and many of them are road racers. Waaayyy too fast for me, even the younger me.

OTOH there is a women's mountain bike club here with a pretty big membership. I've ridden with them several times and it's always fun. Sure, some of them are way fast and fearless but they always wait and watch out for the others.

Next, the Bugatti Veyron will come with subscription cylinders. You get 8 standard. $5000/month gets you up to 12. $15,000/month gets you up to 16.

Years ago a bunch of my friends had VW Beetles and some were skiers. At the resorts they had trouble starting them in the cold weather. One guy put a blanket on his engine the night before and forgot it in the morning. It caught fire but they got it out before the car burned down, just some wiring damage.

I had a 63 beetle I drove across country, west to east, and then drove it till it died a long, slow death. Loved that car.
