Folks posting what they think is a low rhr to show their fitness..........
Folks then realizing that vo2max also includes max hr in the calculation, not just rhr.........
Folks further realizing they're still slow as sloth balls because performance itself is the best indicator of performance........

Anything people post on an internet forum is probably a poor indicator of performance.

I read that resting heart rate is a very reliable indicator of the size of your ... feet.

Today FitBit says 54. Always in low-to-mid 50’s.

Perhaps we should ask, "What's your resting post rate?" - the number of posts per hour you make when not riding.

However, in all seriousness.
If you do have a low resting heart rate, let the folks who "twilight" you know before your "minor" medical procedure starts. They'll thank you.
(For more major procedures, they'll diagnose you with bradycardia during your ECG screening, and then freak out less when you explain why.)
Don't ask how I know.

I'm no doctor, but I found a handy chart, posted below. By "found" I mean I created it just now, based on extensive research my own guesses.
The X axis is your resting heart rate, and Y is the likelihood you will soon die of natural causes.
Saving lives or inciting unwarranted panic? You decide how to judge the services I provide here at Bike Forums.
(Disclaimers: This data is applicable to adult humans. If you're a hummingbird or elephant or something like that, consult your cardiologist before freaking out. Broctoon, Bike Forums, and its administrators, moderators, owners, supporters, and advertisers assume no legal liability for outcomes resulting from use of this data.)

Clearly, you didn't take vampirism into account when compiling this. Typical mirror fogger bias on your part.

Carefully read the disclaimer at the end of my post. I said it won't apply if you're a "hummingbird, elephant, or something like that." Vampires, zombies, and other undead creatures fall under this catch-all.

60bpm, give or take.
I can meditate it down into the 40s at rest. But any given day when I first strap on my heart monitor for my indoor trainer, it's 59-62.
I'm 63yo

So typical of a minion from hell to find fault and easily take offense.

I never really worry about it. You know those Bloks energy chews? Get the garlic flavor and chomp on ‘em throughout your ride. Also, I think there’s a technicality about vamps having to ask permission to ride your wheel, sort of like how they have to be invited into your house. And I mostly ride during the day, so there’s that.

Oh, so now you're calling me an elephant?!
Come to think of it, there might be times when turning into an elephant might be better than the same old, same old bat routine.

believe there is a similar stat under UP under Statistics - more like average posts per day. Who ever wins gets a week off.
