I feel somewhat ashamed to post this, after so many beautiful bikes, but I need to get my post count up somehow .......
Picked this up 2 days ago, for $35 (seems to be my bottom feeder price point )
A mid 90's (I think) Giant Boulder 550 - It is very filthy, and needs much TLC - Even has custom rat-chewed brake levers !

Picked up an '83 Schwinn Sierra out of the junkyard a while back. It's on deck for an overhaul after I do some housekeeping.
From what I understand, this is one of the last Chicago-made Schwinns, and their first attempt at a "mountain" bike. It's really just their Sidewinder frame with canti bosses. It was the shifters and brakes that caught my eye in the junk heap, I'm guessing that the market was too new for low-end thumb shifters and cantis. That saddle is a hog, ain't it?

The Suntour AG Tech stuff is some cool kit, too. I bought a NOS set to put on my '82-or-'83-or-so Ross that I keep at my parents' home in the USA. It was probably original.

Just picked up this little cruiser, a 1993 (Need to verify) Specialized SWorks . All of the original XTR is missing but it does have a update with 9 speed Deore XT.

Forgot to add the Japan built GT Karakoram K2 I found at a pawn shop a couple of weeks ago. Needs a lube and cables are shot, but overall it looks like it was kept indoors or in a tightly sealed garage after a few dozen road miles back when it was new. I need to either fix it up and sell it, or just sell it. I have not been on a bike in over a year.

That grey karakoram is so cool, never seen a japanese made one with that internal routing and i'll never understand the rear u-brake but that thing looks tough.
are those 180 cranks too?

I sold it Thursday night, and made a decent profit on it. Unfortunately I can no longer check the crank length.,,,,BD

'88 Rockhopper Comp
Finally got around to taking a shot of my '88 Rockhopper Comp retromod. Got it all original (except for the RockShock Indy fork) from my dad. The drivetrain was too well used, so I grabbed some spare parts and updated it. At this point the only original parts are the frame, seat post, rear U-brake, and the fork.
I may still convert it to a drop bar to see if it will be as fun as the '89 Rock Combo I use to have.

I love the color too. I think the original color had a darker, almost purple accent, but has faded to pink. The fork was originally green, but there is a pink fork at my local bike co-op that I may switch to.

My 1984 Fuji.
Bought this in 1984, stolen, recovered and decided to repaint. I layed out the scheme and colors, and applied the graphics. In 1986 I decided to go with 7 speed XT. At this time, I have over 30,000 miles on the original crank, and chainrings. I decided last year to put a new set of wheels on it. A very special bike to me with a LOT of memories. Not sure how to post pics.

Love that Muddy Fox but hate the headset lol. Put a NOS one on my Wife's Diamond Back and had nothing but issues with it, was happy to replace it. And yes it was for the BMX market.
