I know that feeling well, though I was only 5 years older than my employer, I was still older than all of my co-workers' parents.

When you meet people that have only received junk mail and don't even know how to send a piece of old fashioned mail through the U.S. Postal Service.
"What . . . I have to lick a stamp?"

Made myself a balancing board, not for bike riding, but to help improve balance in general as we age - since falls can be bad news. It is one of the autonomic processes we can still train and improve.

And you know you are old when you go to do a task but get constantly sidetracked doing other things that need to be done. After going from thing to thing, you either forget what you were going to do or have run out of time.

The heck with just balance >>>

OLD is when needing to SIT at the edge of the bed to put said underwear ON due to balance and bending issues.

Heh. I remember when the original Car Talk radio show aired featuring Tom and Ray discussing this, and they named the phenomenon Aging Adult Attention Deficit Disorder (AAADD). Does that make me old?

I forgot what I was going to say... nevermind.

Ooops, almost forgot to post this.

OOOOH... I just thought of another one. When you fill out a form on-line and it gets to your year of birth and you have to scroll WAAAAAAAY down to get the right year.

If you know about Car Talk ‘Not encumbered by the thought process”, then you ARE old. “And now for the third half of our show”

I really miss Tom and Ray

They were really awesome. NPRs most popular show and for good reason.

This was from one of their great episodes:

https://www.cartalk.com/radio/letter/andy-letter

You can get a new (old) podcast every week from them. Not the same as listening to a new one, of course, but there are enough (and I am old enough) so I don't remember all of them anyway.

Another car talk show, but not nearly as entertaining or silly, is Under the Hood. Those guys aren't nearly as funny, but they really know their stuff.

I was sharing the latest happenings at work last night when my wife interrupted me. She said, "Who was that old guy who was your boss when you worked at [corporate name elided]? Ben? Do you know you're starting to sound like Ben? You need to ease off so you don't scare all the younger folks."

Maybe it's time to reconsider retiring...

I liked their actual talk about cars and their pleasant banter. BUT, their jokes were corny and their constant loud guffawing at their own jokes was worse.
