Joe Bell has painted his frames in the past, not sure if thats still the case. Ive read he doesnt have a paint booth so its not like he was the one that did the terrible paint and decals. He contracted that awful work out and then sent the frame out as is.

Right, I am 99% sure this is not the work of Joe Bell. If it was, that would be something. That said, the main issue with the bike, dent aside, is all in the finishing. The frame is everything I wanted. But the onus has to fall on Koichi to some extent because he looked at it and basically said it'd good to go as is. He should at least know that his painter is casting a shadow on his work.

Hopefully what comes to light is that the frame was sent to you direct from the painter and it didnt leave the Yamaguchi shop looking like that.
The total lack of communication is unjustifiable though. Contact his wife- Ive read she handles(ed) the paperwork side of things.
