Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

You may have to pay for the ambulance, but I’d assume it would be at whatever the rate is your insurance company would pay.

Did you get an EOB or a bill?

Shop is swapping all the stuff off of it, should be able to get it Thursday.

Nice - why is the Cervelo creaking? What size is it?

Got EOB which said it was a "non covered expense," so I am going to have to wait for the bill and deal with it then.

How do you manage this? If a provider sends you a full-price bill, what do you do?

It's going to be wet until then anyway.

Crazy weather continues, for tomorrow's "Usual Suspects" ride, the start temp will be 60F and ending temp more like 65F. No leg warmers needed. I will have to hunt down my summer gloves. Not complaining.

You go to them and say, "I can't pay because I'm a student" or some other reason. You offer them 25% of the bill amount. They will likely take 35-50% and case closed.

Datlas should not do that himself. He's a rich doctor. He should have his daughter do that since she is the unemployed student.

In many states, if they’re an in network provider they can only bill you for their contracted amount. They also can’t balance bill for uncovered add on services (like a $10 charge for taking bp) it’s all inclusive in the E&M or whatever other code they bill.

datlas was the transportation claim part of the hospital claim it was it separate?

It hit 65° here today but the fog didn’t lift until 9 and the streets were soaked from last night’s rain. Streets still aren’t dry. Anyway, I was supposed to get a radon vent motor replaced this afternoon and waited all day. No show.

Probably should have done this a couple years ago. Got a fair amount done in a half hour though. Contemplating purchase of thicker leather gloves so I can work faster with fewer puncture wounds.

Have you tried going tubeless? Everyone talks about getting less punctures with tubeless.
