Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

For proper fit, all cannondale sizes 48-54 have a seat tube that is lowered 1 cm and a head tube that is raised 1 cm.
This results in a slightly sloping top tube.
The measured size is from the center of the bottom bracket to the top of the top tube along the seat tube axis.

The placement of those Campy ergos looks kind of high on that Pinarello. I dont think I could reach the the brakes from the drops.

Nice Pinarello though, Johnny.

Yeah, I think there's still a bit of work to do to ensure a snug fit. The bars probably have to be tilted forward a bit, as well as being lowered. I may also need a shorter stem.

Ah! I knew that was you I saw a few weeks ago. The bike looked familiar, and then I saw SteveE talking with you, but I couldn't put my finger on where I had seen it before. It was at Peet's before the blessing of the bikes thing. Beautiful bike, especially in real life.

Just bought my wife her first road bike off ebay. It's an Iron Horse Triumph, lightly used for $350 free shipping. It should be here in a week but her are some of the pics that were online, I'll take more when she gets it.
