No clue, since I bought it used, but so far everything on it looks to be original.

Recently converted my '95 Trek 830 from mustache bars to fully upright bars. These are the Left Bank bars from Velo Orange in road diameter to fit bar end shifters. Used Rustines grips with the ends cut off. These bars make navigating Philly traffic that much easier.

Gravel frame turned commute/touring bike

Since i built up a new gravel bike, I sold my old touring frame and used the components on my old gravel frame since I like the geometry and feel so much.

- 65cm Black Mountain Cycles monstercross frame with front and rear rack mounts and fender mounts.
- Tiagra hubs with butted spokes and Salsa Delgado rims. 38mm wide Vittoria Hyper tires.
- 3x9 bar end shift drivetrain with Ultegra shifters, 20 year old XT rear derailleur, Sora front derailleur, and a 180mm Sugino cranked from the 80s.
- 50mm SKS fenders.

Odd parts build, but it's all simple and reliable.

The hub bearings on my commuter are starting to fail, probably because the cups are damaged (I guess that's why the wheels were so cheap). I'm not going to get around to replacing the hubs until about Christmas, so the Hardrock mentioned in component list will be doing the commuting until then. Here it is:

It started its life as a regular 2008 Specialized Hardrock XC Disc that I got in April, 2009 for my 13th birthday. All that's left of that now is the frame, the headset cups and the fork. Almost everything else has been swapped from my MTB whose frame cracked in June, probably in a small crash that I had on the way from work. I only bought a new saddle (the old one was destroyed in said crash) and a seatpost (which is smaller that the one from the MTB). And yes, those are 27.5" wheels in a 26" frame, still having more than enough clearance. At 12.5 kg it's also quite a bit lighter than I thought it would be with that fork.

The photo is from the day I built it. I have since replaced the tires (from Schwalbe Hurricanes to CST Soft Sevens) and the stem (from 60 mm to 80, because this frame is REALLY short) and done about 1000 km on it.

My guess is it's a seat cover, used to make would-be bike thieves think that $5000 Gilles Berthoud saddle is a dead squirrel. Obv he took it off for the photo

Still havenít replaced my hybrid winter bike that was stolen in October. My wife hasnít been using her bike recently so I fit a long stem and seatpost to her bike and test rode to work on it today (all with her knowledge and permission). Pretty nice! Only bike in the stable that will fit my studded tires at the moment.

Budnitz e-assist bike arrived just in time for New Years. I set it up for my winter commuting with 45Nrth studded tires and a rubber Selle Anatomica saddle.
