Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Different calculation might come into play depending on how much money you have.

What are Hershey's Kisses called in Spain? As I was leaving after my root canal today, the dentist thanked me for the payment, and I I'm turn thanked her for the besos. ¿Que? There are Hershey's Kisses in the candy dish.

Back in Spring of 2021, I started buying C&V bikes. My first purchase was a 1989 Schwinn Circuit, with its Columbus tubing, chrome fork and chain and seat stays, and Sante groupset. I thought at the time I overpayed a bit, $450, but it turned out that the bike had ALL the original bits in good condition, including the barely-used original Rolls saddle - and they go for $70 and up in Ebay! So, in the end, I didn't mind over paying just a little, even if the frame is kinda small and required a new seatpost and 130mm stem to fit me.

Maybe 6 months later, another 1989 Circuit pops up on Ebay, this time in my size. But they want $800, and $200 for shipping. And that bike has been languishing there for close to a year now. They have the option of making an offer, but I doubt they'd take what I'd offer.

Last week, someone listed ANOTHER Circuit on Ebay, also my size. This one's listed for $1200.

This morning, someone else listed YET ANOTHER Circuit, again in 23". This one's listed for $1800!

In watch collecting, we used to see this sometimes. You won't see any listings of a particular watch for years, and then one gets listed and suddenly there's a bunch of them listed. We call it "Monkey See, Monkey Do".
Oooh, look what just popped up down in Tempe. NOS Circuit for $750. +150 shipped.

Needs a bigger reflector though

Check out the bottom bracket shell protector!

The creek that runs by the town I grew up in, where I often played as a ute, has a couple spots where the creek makes a slight turn, and the rock pile up on the outside of the curve. Lots of good skipping stones. Our goal was always to make them *skip..........skip....skip..skip.skipskipskipskipskimmmmmm* before sinking. For those you had to throw low and put a lot of spin on them. And it helped to skip them across a fairly smooth pool, because with turbulence they'd often bounce up and just skip once before hitting the other bank.

Oooh the same guy has a Paramount that I could probably ride. Apparently he sold the orig Circuit seat to a guy for $100, I reckon the Paramount's saddle must've met a similar fate

I'm pretty energetic. I had a nap, 2 scoops of whey, and about 12 oz of fresh pineapple and blueberries

Maybe a nice Van Halen song would help. They were trending on Twitter either last night or this morning, I thought you'd be all over that one!
