Alright. Here's a picture of my bike from the drivetrain side in high gear.
Just got my Louis Garneau Mini stream Saddle Bag from Nashbar along with a pair of Nashbar Isolation shorts and Louis Garneau Rex Gel gloves, so I could finally wear bike shorts, so my hands wouldn't go numb on long rides and to eliminate a backpack.

This isn't actually my bike, but it's the exact same model. I have different bar ends, and I have frame pump mounts on my seat tube, and a bottle cage on my down tube. Also I don't have fenders, and I have red Crank Bros Candy pedals, and a Panasonic RibMo tire on my rear wheel. I have two cycle computers (one for kph, one for cadence + mph), and a small saddle bag to which a rear light is clipped. I guess I should just take a snap of my bike one day.

Whose bike is it? Make/model? I can almost read the brand name. I hope yours doesn't have the saddle all the way back on it's rails and tilted at such a jaunty angle.

Just got my locks and security chain from Amazon. So much cheaper than getting them locally here in Vancouver. I also got some pinhead locking skewers and a cover for good measure. I don't want to risk having her in the "secured" communal bike cage, who knows how many bikes have been stolen from it. Let me know what you think of my lock job and if I can improve it. I'm on the ground floor but elevated about a full floor and with lots of trees and hedges so from the street you really can't see the bike at all. I know all locks and chains can be defeated so hopefully what I have done will deter any would be thief enough to look for easier pray.

Kryptonite New-York Fahgettaboutit U-lock and Fahgettaboutit Chain & Disc lock both weigh a ton. The silver chain is pewag chain locked together with a shrouded pad lock, ultra tough with a square profile, I had enough cut so I can wrap it around the pillar and use it as anchor for the Kryptonite chain.

storing it inside the condo isn't an option. It's either the patio or the bike cage. I think the patio will be a lot more secure as I can see it while I'm at home.

Bought new from Evans Cycles in London in 2005 - my first non-mountain bike. The make is Ridgeback and the model a Genesis Day 00. 56cm, which I think is a smidge big for me.

Doing about 50 mi/week on it right now, mostly commuting into DC. It's been also to Australia, all trips via standard cardboard bike boxes.


Still has the original front tire; rear tire has been changed twice (first to a red Panaracer T-serv messenger and then to a Panasonic RibMo) and bar ends were added when purchased (as was some red electrical tape...). Pedals are Candy C from Crank Brothers. You can just barely make out where I mount my frame pump. The ugly Blackburn saddle bag is probably 15 years old. Blackburn lights too, but much more recently purchased. Only the rear one is on most days.
And yes I have two bike computers, one for cadence + mileage/mph, and the other is time + kms/kph. I also have the rear brake controlled by the left lever, as standard in the UK/Australia.

Otherwise it looks you've done all you can to secure your bike outside.

Back to riding after more than 5 years away. Picked this Giant Cypress ST up on a special at the LBS, rode it about 10 minutes today and was all over the place. Don't think I'll get much done tomorrow.

ah but you my friend looks like you are located in japan. The crime in japan is so low, in fact I heard there was no looting after the earthquake hit. Here while my area is pretty good, they looted because we lost a hockey game.

This is my Trek 7.3 FX I picked up about a month ago now...

My new Planet Bike water bottle cages along with my new 24oz. Polar insulated bottles that I tested tonight instead of my pack. Keep beverages cold for quite awhile. Was out for about an hour and had plenty of ice left when got home.

My Osprey Manta 20 hydration pack which I was using primarily for water prior to my bottle cages and bottles. I highly recommend Osprey if you are in the market for a good hydration pack. Much more comfortable than Camelbak IMO.

And of course my furry child....who might feel left out if she doesn't get shown too.
