Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

'09 Fuji SL1. Just realized this picture was taken before it was really done. I put some SRAM S30 wheels on it, FSA SL-K seat post and not as many miles as I should have

Odd choice of wheels....they must weigh a ton.

Did you see my weight loss ticker? These are for while I'm losing weight. Once I get down to 200ish, these will go on a cross bike and I'll get a lighter set for this. They're not that heavy though. Lighter than the stock wheels.

heh, yep. I have a set of those too. And yes, they do weigh a pretty good bit. I started a bit over 250 - they are my daily commuting beater wheels.

You're missing a valve sticker.

And your wheels respectfully request you remove the caps.

In fact I did not see your ticker.

I was not really commenting on the wheels themselves, rather the bit of paradox in having a lightweight aluminum bike (with carbon fork no less) with boat anchor wheels.

Then again, I don't know anything about how aluminum racing frames perform under heavy riders, maybe it rides great.

Awesome... Good stuff. How well do they hold the bottles in? My last couple of carbon cages all drop bottles on the regular the way I ride. I can't have that anymore.
