I have seen Fred's stickers on bikes that also had additional dealer stickers on them although there are also stand alone Deely stickers which probably went on bikes he distributed outside of Vancouver.

Found on Viscount at LBS in Kalamazoo MI. Amazing how many bikes shops used Penny Farthings on their stickers.

"Vincent's Cyclery" on this '72 Schwinn Super Sport (not mine). Note also the use of the black decals on the Opaque Blue color (typically these would be white).

I did a Google search on my most recently posted shop sticker and discovered the shop is still open and they still use a similar sticker.

My wife had an uncle named Frisbee. There is a Frisbee family reunion every year and he went to every one.

Mike's reputation is what sent my friend Jim there to buy this bike.

Found on a 1973 Schwinn Varsity in Kalamazoo LBS. I wonder how a bike would make it from Alameda to Kalamazoo?

edit: Still in business and still with same phone number.

This one is on my Gazelle Champion Mondial. Thanks to s70rguy I found out that it is Bandenhuis Noord (Tire House North) in Rotterdam and is still in business.

1971 Schwinn Paramount P15-9

I was unable to find a listing for this bike shop. I believe it would have been just west of the Recreational Park Golf Course on 7th street in Long Beach, California - and not far from the University and PCH (Route 1). The red lettering of the decal matches the lettering and lug outlining on the bike. I wonder if that was intentional?

Frejus Professional c.1970

This bike dates from around 1970. As of a few years ago this bike shop in Denver, Colorado was still around. When I called on the telephone the owner answered. He had just opened the shop around the time this bike was sold and was able to recall the model and all components in great detail just from the brief description I offered.

A swedish sticker with a certain history; the sticker says RACERDEPÅN and it was Gösta "Fåglum" Petterson´s bike and mechanic shop. "Fåglum" won Giro d´Italia -71 (riding Monark) and became a bikebuilder for MCB (Monark/Crescent) after that. My bike is originally built by "Fåglum" in -75.

I love the tandem used on this one. Note the old school phone numbers.

Although they have moved down the street, and the city changed names to Eastpointe, Allied Cycle Shop is still in business.

Pic stolen from link off OTSG.

Not too hard to imagine. I've got a bike I bought at Alfred E. Bike in Kalamazoo and I live real close to Alameda.

I recently sold that Schwinn to a girl from Chicago who used to work at Alfred E. Bike.

Finally got around to taking a picture of this one on the Trek 600 I recently acquired (for the Torontonians on the forum):

Was out for a brief ride today - first good (neighbourhood) ride since I got the Trek....sweet ride I must say - shifts perfectly, smooth quiet ride.....I'm very pleased (especially since its still below 0C out there right now).

The Bicycle Company on Coney Island Avenue in Brooklyn NY.

The bike is my father's 1973 Puch Brigadier. Bought at this bike shop brand new in...you guessed it. 1973.

By the way, i think this is the coolest thread ever.

I just looked them up. Apparently the name is different but the address and phone number are the same. Super cool!

Makes me wonder who was the original owner of this 1989 Schwinn Paramount? What components were on the original build, why they sold it, etc. Just 'kinda curious......
Sold by Bike Works in Gladstone, Missouri. I purchased frame/fork from an owner in NY, and now resides in Pacific Northwest.

I bought this 1981 Miyata One Thousand from the original owner. Still here in the PNW.
