Upgraded to full Campy Centaur groupset. A customer gave me the frame and I had the group laying around just waiting for the right build. The seatpost and hubs (on Velocity rims) are Campy too.

I picked up a Centurion Ironman Expert for the girlfriend. Came with Shimano 105 (2x6) and Wolber Super Champion Alpine rims laced to 105 hubs. Serial number is N6P8628, uni-crown fork and "expert" designation and 105 components indicate 1987? It is a 48cm size, in the peach(?) and white colorway. Everything but the saddle and pedals and tires are original.

Do you like rice , or is that a ethnic slur?

I'm getting back into cycling and have one of those Miami Vice Centurions that I'll be riding until I decide on what new bike to get. I need to replace the saddle since it's split open. Any suggestions for a replacement around $50?

@Fred Smedley "riceboy" could also be the term coined over a decade ago from the popularity of hopping up Japanese imported compact cars like Honda Civics/CRXs, Nissans, etc.

riceboy may be into import 'tuning'. I was, a decade ago. Unfortunately, I got married and my life went to hell.

Centurion Ironmen are road racing bikes, therefore any decent road saddle will work. Find something comfortable.

On her request, I just picked up a "Terry" Ironman for my daughter who is 22 years old and 5'5" tall. It is much too small for her, and she knows it. She asked me to get it for her. It's in the same peach color as @riceboy's. By "Terry" I mean it has the 24" front wheel for short women. I had one of these before, and my daughter fell in love with it before I sold it, so she's really excited about this one.

How much smaller is the Terry model compared to the 48cm? How does it ride compared to a model with 700c wheels?

I'll measure it and let you know. Handling is nimble beyond anything with a 700c front wheel. That's what my daughter likes.

Finally updated her with brifters .. Linito Cycles in Chicago did a great job for me with the upgrade, lest she continue to sit in the basement.
