I passed by the House of Hotrods on my morning ride, and they were having a car show. Some pretty cool stuff on display. Even some baggers layin frame.
Lots of cargo shorts and Bud t-shirts. I felt a bit out of place being the only one in spandex and walking toes up. My gut felt right at home though.

What I said about the '70s and music also applies to cars. And most other things.

Currently at a Lego-centric workshop for my son's bday party for his friends. One thing is clear: it was a very good idea not to have a dozen 11-year-old boys in our house.

Did the monthly C&V ride today, this time without my co-leader. Faster group than usual, or maybe more uniform in speed. 27 or so miles (didn't use a head unit on this ride). I took Mrs. Peel, first ride since November. I'd forgotten just what a sweet bike it is. Fast, comfy, handles my 200# without a whimper, shifts pretty well for old school friction. I'm not sure how well it would handle a fast technical descent, but apart from that, a very nice bike! Just confirms my belief that if it was a good bike BITD, and it's working now like it did then, it's STILL a good bike, even if there are better bikes.

Seeds, see below. I hope this helps.
Friday rant:
I call my bank to put a travel alert on my card. The woman with whom I speak with sounds like she's in high school. I emphasize that this needs to work because I may be in places where I need to use an ATM and have no cell service to report a locked card. She enthusiastically tells me she is going to give me a confirmation number so I can call and yell at someone if my card gets locked. WTH. I felt compelled to tell her that listening is an important part of being a customer service agent.

I live in Pennsylvania. In 2017 I took a long weekend car camping trip in state. The first night we ate at a mom & pop restaurant that punched in my card number. When we ate out the next day my card was declined. Fortunately, I had another one. The bank told me that the previous transaction seemed “suspicious.”
