EDIT: BTW, before I bought mine I looked at a listing on FB Marketplace for one up near Sacramento, for only $150. I looked at the pictures, and thought, "I didn't realize Schwinn made those in pink." then I realized it was all sun-bleached paint. That made the more expensive one a lot more palatable, especially since it was only 40 minutes away.

IF it were cheaper, if it were here, and if I didn't already have the Centurion with pretty much the same generation of 600, MAYBE. But it's not tickling anything, apart from the "Oh, that's pretty!"

Where are you seeing these? I looked on Phoenix Craigs List and didn't see anything.

Not too thrilled with the blue cable housing, either, TBH. But bar tape and cable housing are the first to go, along with cables, and possibly tires.

I'm unimaginative. Cable housing is either black (Campy) or gray (Shimano) unless you're running Sante, then white is acceptable. Bar tape is black, unless the bike is red and you have a white saddle, then it's white. Or if it's a Bianchi, Celeste. Makes things simple.

Had an enjoyable long weekend. Hiking, hot pools and a birthday dessert party.

Lots of stream crossings

A bit frosty the first morning

Party time

The hot pools. I spared you a photo of me in them.

Tarn on the day trip in the middle

Nice river

Hmm, he has a white Turbo on it in this ad. The indoor photos posting has the worst saddle ever on it.

He seems to have FOUR listings for TWO Circuits. Three are for the same '88Circuit, with white saddle, tape, and lever hoods. The other is for an '89, with black Rolls saddle, black tape, and gray lever hoods.
Mine's an '89, which to my mind is the more preferable - People think of Sante as white, but it's not. Some parts are white, others are shades of gray. So, I like the black better.

I guess I'm a barbarian, then!

He's got a ridiculous array of Schwinns and a couple of Raleighs for sale. He posts a lot of them at least twice - once on Stevebay and once or twice on the Marketplace at large.
I wish his Peloton Pro was smaller. I love 853 frames

Mom goes in for her hip replacement today. Wish this trip were more of a vacation. Spent night at the hospital-adjacent Marriott sleeping poorly because we are on rather different schedules and now at the Starbucks which finally opened.

I wish her good luck. Most hip patients do really well if they are generally healthy to begin with.

The Starbucks by my work had their lobby closed for most of this year. That drove me crazy because I hate drive-throughs, even when I'm just grabbing a coffee and a pastry and taking them right to work..
