While I too would like to see a gatorskin seat just because, I will bet you won't want to be riding one on a hot, humid, sweaty day.

The blue Pro is the only logical choice here.

This is turning into a real nail biter! The Navy Professional has pulled ahead by one vote with less than 9 hours until the polls close. I certainly hope the losing Brooks doesn't demand a recount--- or challenges the results--- or declares the whole process as, FAKE! The last thing I want is a runoff!

Don't worry, the faux Alligator Avocet will eventually see the light of day and it certainly will be modeled on the gator themed Voyageur II.

However, my butt has its standards to maintain, and it is a bit snobbish towards Brooks, Ideale, and @rhm customs.

And the winner is: the Navy Professional! This had been my choice as well.

More later on the Alligator Avocet.

Maroon (!) Brooks Pro for me -- lucky find. I have not seen them offered anywhere since. My old 50K mile 1972 black Brooks Pro also looked good on this bike, but it is reaching end-of-life.

Brent also suggested making new leather uppers for a pair of bike shoes out of the same leather hide--- but I'm guessing shoe uppers are beyond my capabilities!

As a tease (and possibly to offend Mr. Bad Lag further), I've been hard at work in my leather shop---

Since the base is from an Avocet Racing saddle that was losing its original cover, do we call it an "Avogator" or a "Gatorcet?"
