those are great. print out and put on the wall in front of your rollers/trainer so when you dont feel like doing that training session on a random wednesday in mid january, you can look at it and be reminded how good it felt to throw left fist in the air when you crossed the line 1st!

pjcampbell, this probably won't work in your race. i recall cdr writing about the leadout to the final climb stringing out the chase at 35mph before launching. the break ahead was apparently pretty gassed, and cdr passed a few of them on the final climb. While it'll probably start as a mass sprint, it definitely won't end like one. Think of it as our version of the Huy or something

Some previously undiscovered pictures from this year's Tour of Hermann in Missouri. Went into the road race in 4th Place, finished 6th overall. Goal for next year is to race at 175lbs and make it to the podium.

Get your head down and angle the extensions up so your forearms are *at least* level. You're scooping a lot of air.

After my teammates noted the same about my position I moved the seat back some, slammed the stem and angled the extensions up. I don't have any pictures of that position but it was good enough for 3rd place on the State TT Championships.

Yes....this race was back in April. I was still good for 2nd place on the TT, even being blocked by traffic on an intersection.

13 years of soccer, 10 years of ice hockey, 5 years of riding my bike has given me some pretty ripped legs. I get compliments and comments about them often.

Hi,
I think it was just 2006 and 2007 that the D2 Crono Carbon came with the Oval Aero Jetstream fork. The fork was one of the reasons that I bought the frame. The other was that I thought it looked cool.

not too bad really. for a lowly (soon-to-be) 4 like me, it'd be perfect for to attack 1.5 miles (half a mile up and then hold it for another mile), then aero tuck my way down for rest on like the 2nd to last lap. if there's a place you want to fracture the pack, it's that big ring hill and the subsequent downhill as a ton of cat 4's donno how to descend.

Post on Prospect leadout:
https://sprinterdellacasa.blogspot.co...-leadouts.html
Disclaimer - this was a Pro123 race. The guy that won... his name escapes me at the moment but he was very strong, raced for Toga, and did NOT get popped for a positive.
I had four guys bury themselves to help me that day.
Part of that "friendship is part of being teammates" or "teammates is part of being friends" - two of the four guys were my groomsmen at my wedding about 10 years later and, tellingly, they were the last two guys in the leadout train (2nd last and the Primary Leadout). I've ridden with both of them this year, raced with one (Primary Leadout no longer races but he rides consistently - he's my CA training camp host). The other two were a bit more distant.
Problem with the descent on a last lap move is that the pack can descend, coasting, really fast. I'll typically go 45-50 mph until I hit the front, then it's more like 45 mph. It's fast enough that a pedestrian got killed when a rider struck him (this happened 10-15 years ago). Solo you'll have to work hard to descend that hard.
Having said that, it never hurts to try. I mean it hurts when you try, but it'll hurt anyway
