Kenda Tire Question

So i was given a never used set of Kenda tires. I say never used instead of brand new because the guy won them at a race a few years back. Just got done cleaning off all the dust from them and cant figure out what they are. So time to ask the knowledge center that is the forum. Here is everything on the wheel:
Kenda
1220
k6302
tw8822
min/maximum recommended inflation pressure 40-65 psi
2.8-4.6kgf/cm^2
280-460 kpa
(50-559)
26x2.0
k-878-03
To fit hb-575 rim

Now they have a small bumpy center that is relatively low resistance and knobs on the outsides. Trying to find out if these are good tires. Didn't see anything on google cause i dont know the tire name and im not familiar with kenda. Anyone have any ideas on its identification? They good tires? they look really nice and if i didn't have a set of specialized armadillos on order at my LBS id slap them on right now.
Thanks for any help.

Sounds like the same type & size tire that came on my Trek Navigator comfort bike. Trek calls them a comfort tire. Kinda smooth in the center and knobby on the edges.
Mine are Bontrager brand.

Will likely fit most any common MTB/26"/559 wheel.

Do they kind of remind you of Bozo the Clown's head? Bald in the middle but ridges on the edges? They are designed to give low resistance on pavement but the knobs on the edges give off-road traction. I had a set. They're OK. Not super durable, though.

Bikes: Catrike 559 I own some others but they don't get ridden very much.

The price was right!

Here's the thing about tires - you use them up and eventually throw them away. Tires that I don't like seem to last way longer than tires that I do like. Why is that?

Lol similar to Bozo's head yea. i should take a pic i guess. Weird not having a name on them i guess. Freebies are always nice thats for sure. Id have them on the bike right now if i wasn't waiting on my new tires. Nice to have a set of backups.

I Googled "Kenda k6302" and didn't get much. They seem to be an older model, might not be in production any more. Take a real good look at the sidewalls;if there are any cracks I'd junk them. Otherwise they'd prolly be ok for winter snow tires.

I wouldn't go diving into corners real fast on 'em if I was riding on asphalt. Them knobbies don't grip the hard real well.

Kenda is a lower end tire manufacturer. Quite often their tires show up as OEM on lower to mid level bikes. They are a decent tire for the price. I ran them for years on my Raleigh 3 speeds with no problems. Are there better tires out there? Yes but you will pay substantially more for them. On my high mileage bikes I run Schwalbe, on bikes that only ride occasionally Kenda and Cheng Shin are quite often the tire of choice.

Yea im putting on my armadillo bouroughs or nimbus (not sure which but both on order) these will just be backups in case something happens. Nice to know what they are but not necessary i guess. Just happy to have them.
