Race geometry to Upright
Has anyone made the switch and did it take some getting used to? Particularly when you climb out of the saddle to sprint?

You will be slower in a more upright position but the extra comfort might make up for it if you're not so flexible. Climbing out of the saddle shouldn't be an issue as long as the bike fits.

I used to make the switch all the time when I had my Raleigh Sports. Ride the Pinarello for long rides, Raleigh around town. Sprinting on it was just fine. I still make the switch occasionally when I break out my cruiser. Sprinting on the Western Flyer is not as fun as on the olde Raleigh, however.
Oh, I also had my Mongoose setup for upright riding for a bit. These bars were way too flexy for sprinting, though. (27" cruiser bars.)
