This year, in the midwest, I sold a Miyata 210 for $250. In 2013, a Miyata 110 was sold for $235. Both fully refurbished.

I could probably get $250 for it in Portland.

You can get $125 for a nice Varsity, ferchrissakes.

I particularly like the white lug lining on the pink tube and vice versa on the white tube. Chrome lugs, stays and fork are beautiful. Are those early Look clipless pedals?

In Atlanta, this is about right for a bike that is in this shape. I agree that the model of the Miyata does not demand quite the 185, but the niceness of the restore will have someone pay that...and...for them, so long as it fits and rides good...that will be a good deal...as you said...it is better than a "mart" bike...

Here is a picture of the little Merckx complete with goofy saddle and stem.

I love these stories.

So interesting!

I would get a saddle and a stem on the little one pronto.

Then, off to ebay.

I plan on selling the Merckx Century. I know I can probably do the best on eBay but I have never sold anything there. From what I have read on this site it is kind of a pain for sellers without any or very few previous eBay sales. I am not sure where I will try to sell it.

That sure is a bastardized Super Sport, for me that would take the value down to about...zero.

From a collectible standpoint...I concur; from an economic standpoint, you could probably get most of the 300 back out of the parts...and then have the frame...

I was thinking low ball offer parts bin flip myself. The parts are worth more than zero.

Curious mix of components, Chorus crank, Athena RD, later 8spd shifters, G.S. brakes. Chain looks a tad small too.
