2015 Goal Reached Today
My goal for 2015 was to bike 2500 miles. Fortunately I reached the goal on today's ride! Started biking this yr. in Florida in January, did some biking in New Orleans in both March and May. Also biked in Maine for a few days this summer. Reached the goal from my home on the outer cape today which features summer like weather on October. Lots of folks on this site bike substantially more but this 66 yr. old feels pretty good about it.

Congratulations on reaching your yearly goal, Tim, but don't stop riding now, stretch it out and achieve more than you thought you could.

Are you going to be back this coming January to start a 3,000 mile year?

I am planning on being in Fl. beginning on January 2, 2016 and will be there until March 12. Same area as last year, Manasota Key in Englewood, beautiful area. Not sure yet what the goal will be for next year yet.

Do you know what they say about Englewood?..........It's sooo good in Englewood!!!.........How do I know? Because I've lived here since 1986!!!! So an early BACK come January.
BTW, Manasota Key Rd. was repaved from the North Bridge to the Charlotte County line. SUPER smooth and fast. Great Saturday morning ride from Real Bikes by Melody and Gary heading to Rotonda and back. SEE you soon.

Great job, my wife and I spend a week or two each year on the Cape... ya we are one of those you guys can't wait to have LEAVE. Was a Mainer for 62 years before we smartened up and moved to FL. Here the riding is great.... for 8 months of the year. So we spend the summer traveling around New England and Atlantic Canada. We just exceeded our last year total of 9518 miles for the year and heading to our goal of 10k. Not bad for a 66 year old with a bad heart. oh well.... had to move to get away from snow shoveling...
