My favorite Centurions are the 86-87 line up. Even the low and mid tier stuff looks so good. Maybe I will change my mind when my tastes have matured some more..

For me:
1985:
Prestige with 2x6 DA indexed.
Cinelli-made Equipe with Italian stuff.
Ironman
Elite RS
(Great top 4)

Then, 1986:
Prestige
Facet and/or Ironman
Elite RS
(Another great top 4)

Then, 1984:
Comp TA
Lemans RS
Turbo
Semi-Pro?

Then, sort of, loosely, 1989:
Ironman
Turbo TT
Carbon-R
Lemans RS
Prestige
(Different markets and distributors)

That 86 is beautiful.
I like all the Ironmans but I tend to be more attracted to the ones without unicrown forks.

My beautiful race bike! Just arrived today. My husband brought it upstairs because he knows there's no way it's going to live in the garage.

It may need some adjustments. And then again, it may not.
Another Ironman in the empire. Enjoy it when the weather allows!

It'll go in the stand tomorrow so I can tweak a few things and put pedals on. Little stuff, though--seat and handlebar height. That seat post weighs nothing. It's ridiculous.

Out of curiosity, I weighed it. 19.4 pounds. I believe the catalogue said they left the factory at around 23 pounds.

When it started snowing this morning all I could think was, "oh man, please don't salt the roads! I can ride on Thursday or Friday if there's no salt!"

19.4lbs as it stands? DANG! Outstanding job Robbie. I think black rims with machined brake tracks are as the young, cool kids say, Gucci. Now for some bicycle humor.

Does anyone know why a bicycle can't stand up on it's own?

Because it's too tired.

I know, don't quit my day job.

I originally had it as 2 tired. Then I edited it. Should have left it alone. Any update on the Richmond CL parts? They are still listed.

Ironman Corral.
At the end of last month (oct 27) I rode my Carbon Ironman in a 1/2 Ironman. Since then I've only ridden once, my '89 Ironman , Due to illness. So now, 4 weeks later I plan on a short ride today using my '89 Summertime Blues Ironman again. I love that thing. I made some adjustments and still may need a shorter stem, I'd love to have an original nitto, (anyone have one?). As it is, it's a bit longer, compensating for the shorter top tube than I'm used to. We'll see.
The month of Nov has been a bust as far as working out hopefully Dec will be better. Heres my goals for Dec leading into the new year and season. I plan on running 5 days a week mon thru fri, and riding only one day with my riding partner on Sundays. Lifting weights 3 days a week M,W,F. Also stretching everyday. When Jan comes the real training will start.
The last pics I posted of my Ironman bikes were with my phone, not so great. So new pics with my tablet are in order but I'm gonna leave my accessories on this time. So what are your riding goals leading into the new year IronKids?

I picked this up for a "Grant" today, no dents just a bit of paint loss on the rear stays and mismatched wheels but no frame damage.
This is my 2nd favorite color (I have the silver blue-gray in 56 too large!).
It should polish-up quite nicely but no time for now.
Best, Ben
All Tri-color

Looks little used and I like Biopace!

Nice snag Ben! I was trying to scrape some change together to get that for my daughter but I had already rolled my quarters and dimes to pick up a Raleigh Comp.

I took this $100 Classic out for 70mi and 7000ft today; Climbing with the 42/24 bailout gear to get ready for EroicaCA. Last year, I rode the Turbo and planned to take it again this year until I grabbed that 78 Competition G.S. I should probably sell the Raleigh so I don't have to choose.

CT,
I feel bad for you "just" getting a Raleigh Comp...Nice looking bike you have there....yes, the price dropped.
When I went to look at it...the wheels were mismatched and tires were shot and the seat post was stuck...when I pointed these things out to the seller he went way down on his price, I think others had looked at it and he just wanted it out of his garage.
I got the post out without much trouble and do not really care about the wheels because I like to run a couple of wheelsets that I have on my other bikes so I really bought it as a good frame with nice tri-600 on it...I had been looking for this one in my size for a while so at 50.00 it was fine.
Now I need a seat binder bolt but don't know what size to buy.
Best, Ben

I'm 26 weeks out from my HIM. I'm planning on going down to the site and driving the bike and run routes. As for run--I'm capped at 3 days a week. I've tried running more than that and it just didn't work out for me. I have a bike in the trainer and no reason not to ride it. Building speed and endurance in my rides. Short/fast and long/slow. I have five weeks to build training base.
Of course, I managed to injure my bicep and I've been in PT for a couple of weeks... The injury is rare enough that my PT has to look up how to treat it. Fabulous. Next year I'll have my husband get the ton of pellets instead of surprising him with it sitting in his side of the garage.

I don't know the size. Safety Cycle is local. LA or Torrance. Take the frame in.

I rode 17 yesterday. My lungs felt funny deep breathing and I had a couple coughing fits. However my legs felt fresh and strong, like I could ride 50. But the best part was how my '89 performed and felt. I was dialed in fit wise. Initially I thought my stem was too long because of pressure on my triceps on a previous 50 miler with my riding buddy. But I didn't feel any of that this time....of course I might feel different on a longer ride.
One thing I realize is when riding long with rode bars when I get fatigued I want to "lay" down on my aerobars. But I gotta tell ya, the road bars were fun...I felt like a bikie.
The shifting was smooth, the gearing was correct, ride was excellent. The fit for the smaller frame size was spot on...

I'm guessing you have some kind of a fitness/martial arts training studio/business? 5 days a week running? Make sure those nagging connective tissue injuries don't start creeping in.You have to have some time for recovery.
