That's because it's the very smallest SC, only made one year, uses Bocama lugs instead of Capella. Here's one in the pipeline:

Or pump pegs like those on Unca_Sams Super Course? Interesting!

Put on the tape!

Thanks to oneclick for the tape. It wrapped easily!

It's a big world; I just knew there'd be somebody somewhere who would like that colour.

I went back through this thread and noticed that I had not posted a pic of my 68 though I referred to it in a few posts. I pulled it out a few days ago and was reminded how nice it rides. This picture is from a few years ago. It is currently set up a bit differently and I'll get some new pictures soon.

Current status of my Super Course. This is transitional. I am trying to decide if I want to keep the Oxford bars or convert back to drop bars. Either way, I will be putting on silver fenders as the black just don't do it for me. They are on there to check for clearance with Pasela 700cX38s. So far so good. (The tires measure an actual 36mm).

If I keep the Oxford bars, I plan to go with cork grips to match the saddle and wrap the forward portion of the bars with yellow cotton bar tape and cover it with amber lacquer. It matches the saddle quite well.

In my opinion this is a much more interesting build. I love the saddle! If you match the grips to it and add silver fenders it’ll look great. Considering the uniqueness of your frame, I think it deserves a great build.

I like the way you think. I may add an Ultegra nine speed triple crank and derailleurs, as well. This bike rides so nicely that it deserves high end components on it.

73 beater super course

Might be my favorite bike, even over my ti road bike and ti SS. It just eats the road so good. I need a silver crankset, or I might make it a geared bike again...

What are some of the most souped-up Super Courses you have seen? I'm finally considering having mine refinished. And if I do, it might be worthwhile to have fittings brazed on as well. It's a bit crazy, but I love this frame. It's nearly perfect for me.

I just posted this in the graffiti thread; the concept I was going for was, um, eclectic.

@nlerner, that's ecclectic, beautiful, and practical.

I think the adage is that you can only get two out of those three.

OK then, it's half beautiful, half ecclectic, and fully practical.

The front wheel came undone, so the Super Course got a loaner in the form of the most reviled rim among c&v’ers: the Velocity Deep-V! (Gasp!) Hey, at least it’s brown.

Came undone?
What does that mean?

Well, technically I guess it came undone in my heart. It’s a wheelset I bought from Craigslist because the 600 hubs were nice, but the rims were pretty shot and there were a bunch of mismatched spokes in the front wheel. The nds spokes on the rear need to be retensioned occasionally, and the front broke a spoke a few days ago. Polished CR-18’s seem to be available, so I think those will go nicely on this bike.

Here's my 1980 (81?) Super Course with a huge frame. I'm 6'...but bit's just a bit tall for me. I have someone interested in it who is 6' 3''...a much better fit. Any clue as to its worth? Bike needs nothing!

Given the Brooks, bar end shifters, integrated hanger, 531 tubes; I'd say $300 is a fair price, maybe slightly more if someone really wants it. Also try the appraisals section.

Better light, but seat tilt is off.

Sugino Maxy Crankset with 144 BCD. Modern TA chainring. Miche fixed cog and hub.

Mach 1 omega rim built onto a novatech hub.

Miche Primato pista/strada hub.

Polished 'GB' stem

No tape and mismatched tires at the moment.

The interesting part about this frame is that it's a 52cm seat tube with a 55cm top tube. So as long as i have enough stem extension and seatpost... it fits?
Nice bike

Well, as much fun as I had last season and even early this year with the three speed version of my Super Course, I thought it best to move the 27" IGH setup to my Humber and extend the range of this bike. Doesn't hurt that it lost a few pounds in the process. Went with Cyclone derailleurs and a Sugino Mighty Competition crank/BB. Also had to swap out the Weinmann 610 in front, as the now 700c wheels put the reach just beyond the limit. So, 750s front and rear now. Took it out for quick spins and grins.
