Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I have the crockpot set up next to my bike stuff, but that’s as far as I ever made it. It’s on the list of things to do.

I can’t believe the guy who had the ritchey before me didn’t use quick links, I find it extremely frustrating.

Haven’t taken one in the face on the bike yet, but they’ve hit my helmet and I’ve had to forcefully dislodge a few freeloaders from my clothing. I clean (true) bug guts off the bike after every ride. They were landing on the boat a mile offshore this weekend or, having flown all the way out there, dropping into the water and drowning. I won’t miss those big, dumb, ****ers very much.

Cleaning: I rinse my chain in boiling water then dry it.
Quick Links: Wipperman chains w/ quick links. Used other quick links without issues
the recipe all from Amazon:
* 1lb of household paraffin wax
* 5g of pure PTFE (Teflon) powder
* 1g of pure molybdenum disulfide (MoS2).
crockpot: I buy the over safe bread dish at a .99 cent store and keep everything there

It's a social, fun pace and we don't drop anyone.
Remind me next Sunday or Monday and I'll tell you where and when. You could also join some club rides if you're in to that sort of thing. sfvbc.org
I am in Tarzana so all the rides are practically "near me".
Planning to join the sfvbc.... i used to ride with a bunch of people from the club just never on a sfvbc ride.

The chain is dry to the touch, regardless of how much of the external wax has flaked off.

I wouldn't consider them a treat but you could probably have one and survive. Not sure if they have veggie dogs but they do have popcorn. Very high in sodium.

What's on the low-sodium menu?

I joined the club in 1989 so I'm one of the old guard. Used to ride with them every Saturday and Sunday but only a few times last year. Their schedule is open again and some people are coming back.
This coming Saturday they have a remote ride (Hope Ranch) in addition to the local stuff. Not sure if I'll drive out there for that.

I saw that. They're out there. I know some on the team have them, and when Excel has them, I make sure and let them know. Wahoo is making them, just not fast enough.

My friend thinks they aren't making them. I'll tell him to keep looking. I think he has a couple new ones left.
