Yes, that's an OEM Tange "Trident" crown, used on mid-80s high-end racing Treks (531/753/Columbus). Socketed fork ends and dropouts would have been used as they became available.

I think it's legit - check out '82 '83 brochures. The color combo is something I haven't seen. The 900 series bikes had the Campy crankset and Cinelli BB and some had Dura Ace bits. The Dura Ace stuff is long gone on this bike.

Out for a ride in San Rafael today and stopped by the Trips for kids Recyclery. They have a pair of Peter Mooney bikes that were recently donated.

Independent Fabrication
$900

I’m selling my IF titanium frame. All components are included. Tuned up 3 years ago with new brake cables but NEVER ridden since. A scratch here and there but zero dents or any other damage to the frame. Perfect structural condition. And authentic IF medallion secured as seen in photos. If you’re in the Boston area free pick up or drop off options can be arranged. The size is 52” top tube X 46” from middle bracket.

Wow, it would be great to look at this, but Facebook has decided that because I live in Oregon, I'm too far away to consider it. Gee, thanks Facebook. I knew there was a reason (well, many reasons) I don't use you.

Sorry about that. I have no idea what FB's algorithms permit or deny but I'm sorry you can see it. I find these things and post in hopes they'll appeal to someone. I found my Cresta GT this way and don't use FB for anything else.

No need to apologize, I place this directly in Facebook's lap. What if the seller were willing to ship the bike? Sorry, too bad!

Besides, you did me a solid a few years back by facilitating the purchase of a Bridgestone XO-3 in your area, which I totally appreciated.

I remember that. The fellow who sold it showed up in response to a CL ad selling my wife's bikes last year and the bought the drum-brake Chiorda for less than it would have cost him to build the wheels for his project. He's enough of a nut to be lusting for some of my bikes that are too tall for him.

I hope this isn't too much of a protocol break. Slap me if I've overstepped some bounds. I bought a hub and a tubular wheel from a guy on Chicago CL. He also has a Dura-Ace 740x group. I'm not interested in it, but told him I'd present it on some of the bike forums I frequent. He's asking $350 for the group shown in the photos below. These came to me via text message, I imagine I can get better quality photos (or just more photos) if you're interested. I'd be happy to facilitate (connect interested potential buyers with the seller, help on shipping if necessary).
