So I got my frame from powder coating. I have been working on it today and I’m having an issue with SRAM Apex 10 speed 50/34 crankset. Big chainring is hitting the chain stay. Is 92 frame incompatible with 50 chainring? Can I use spacers or do I have to go down to smaller chainring or maybe run 1x10?

Some models of the MultiTrack came with 28-38-48 chain rings, so a 50 should fit assuming you're trying to position it about where the large chain ring would be on a triple crank. If you're installing a 34-50 double on the same BB length or spindle as the triple used, then you probably will have a conflict with the chain stay. Is this a square taper crankset or a two piece, like a SRAM GXP or Shimano Hollowtech?

Mmm. I'm not an expert on SRAM GXP. I'm thinking that you could install a ~2mm spacer inside at least the drive side cup to space the crankset over a little bit. I don't know if that'd offer you enough room or not. If not, then I'd say you may need to consider either a smaller chain wheel or something like a square taper crank where you can tune the chain line a little easier (with different length spindles).

These modern road cranksets from Shimano, SRAM, and Campagnolo are not meant to run shims on the BB, there is no chainline adjustment. GXP especially uses a stepped down spindle which requires a specific distance for preload; unless the shell is way out of spec, BB shims are not used on road cranks.
It looks like a Shimano Hollowtech II 50/34 fits.

It seems like you ran into a chainline issue (road double [43.5mm] vs MTB triple [47.5mm]). Basically, your 50t is roughly where your middle ring is now.

I have a couple of FSA cranksets myself which use the standard 64/104mm BCD and they seem to work well. I looked up the Tempo Adventure model and FSA's page says it's a standard 110mm BCD. Is this the correct model?

Sounds crazy long. 122.5 is old, old school triple. I haven't used that since....92?

How are those brakes working out? Most people run travel agents with STI and V brakes, or run mini-Vs.

Well, it looks like I may have tracked down a 750! Once against putting trust in Craigslist humanity, I've struck a deal with a seller in California who has shipped a 55lbs box which should arrive in a week. It's a black 23" 1992 model that will need some work. In the time since I last posted, I picked up a 22" 950 frameset with wheels. Now I'm trying to justify keeping both; 3 bikes were plenty, 4 may be pushing the limit of capacity here. Maybe if I hang it artfully in my room...
I think, in reality, the 950 may get boxed up and stored for the time being. I also need to sort out a click on my 710... and list some other parts from a salvage buy... it never stops, does it? hahah
