I think I'll be able to attend assuming the air quality is fine.

I planning to join. AQI looks to be "moderate" which seems alright by me. I'll be bringing my orange Gitane TdF.
I have the cue sheet, and map on my little gps, but hope someone who has done the ride before will be along..

Well, TdMIL includes a section of the Russian River. But that's best done on several inner tubes lashed together, no?

Numbers are high. I was going to cancel and then drive to a spot with cleaner air and ride from there.

The best spot I found within reasonable distance to me was further up the peninsula. So given the current situation, I'm still going to ride, I'm still going to park at the same place at the same time, I'm still taking my "new" Bianchi. If the air is better, I'll do the normal route, if it's the same as now I will explore going north from the meeting point. (I have only ridden past 92 once so it really will be exploring).

I'm thinking we head North on Canada, take the Ralston Trail up to Polhemus/Ralston, then down Polhemus to Crystal Springs, up Crystal Springs to 35, across the dam and take the trail halfway up the climb, then back onto 35, left at 92 to get back to Canada, and back to Edgewood. 14.5 miles.

We can add more by heading down to Woodside where the air is still (so far) moderate, and noodle around there a bit.

See you at 10!

Need to add in a stop at the Village Bakery for pastries. Say hi to the Big Fish for me!

Even though we needed to call an audible and change the route it was a lot of fun.

GeneJockey (on his Ironman), Cyclic_Eric (on his Gitane), PhilPeugeot (on his Miyata 1000 (If I remember correctly)) and I (on my Bianchi) did the modified ride.

We said hi to the big fish for you. He seemed a little miffed. Is there something in the past between the two of you we should know? Or maybe that we shouldn't know?

@squirtdad. I hope the Kayaking went well. Based on @gugie 's response on the TdMIL, it may come in handy. We decided that Jan 8th makes more sense. Hope to see you out there next time.

Well, I put my kids up on it for pictures, often. Maybe one of them had an accident...

Most excellent!

Tx so much.

I managed to get my son and @Oldairhead out for a ride in The Gorge a few weeks ago and I got out for a solo ride on last Wed. on a different section, sun and 65 deg so it was stellar but not the same as a group ride.

Mid-30s for this morning’s ride and same promised for tomorrow. Sunny, though, and quite pretty in an early winter way.

Is a late 80s bianchi considered vintage? I might join you guys for a bit, should be in that area looking for spectrum. Glad the weather is finally dry/warming up.

@LarrySellerz - There's no rules on what bike is ridden. We've had bikes from the 60's through modern CF bikes show up. This is meant to be fun with no restrictions (I ride vintage but I have them configured with speedplay's).

Hope to see you there.

Mike

Hope to see you tomorrow @philpeugeot. I don't need the fork anymore. I found an almost perfect match Bianchi fork that I had Dale Sasso straighten that will replace the one I had.
