Magnolia Belle is still growing, mostly in weight. She is very attentive and demands to play by bringing her toy or ball and looking you in the eye.
She also is in the habit of visiting me while I am working. I have been teleworking for almost 2 years. Although not a lap cat, she does like to rub and be rubbed.
She has not reached her first-year birthday yet in April.
An endearing trait is her following me around the house, often look for a meal, attention, play or just being a buddy.

Her wide-set eyes (and black coat) remind me of my mom's late cat, Babette. She was significantly bigger, though.

I've got some good news and some bad news...

Bad news first: I'm getting fat AF! Just look at those chins! The good news is that with the three-week B12 course that the vet had prescribed, Cricket has shown tremendous improvement. He now walks and runs far better, and seems to feel more emboldened to jump up and down our lowest couches. We expect him to get even better in the coming weeks and months.

In international news...

Secretary General Tootie's gone all Politburo on our asses this afternoon:

First she gave us her infamous, Stalin-like stare that never fails to send a feeling of terror down the spines of her Trotskyist human subjects... "There's going to be some purging around here!" is what she's saying...

But then, feeling shunned by the international community, she assumed a more Putin-like stance on her bilateral relations with her human neighbors. She hasn't mobilized any felinist troops yet, though.

Still fostering...

The little ones will be one month young tomorrow and they should be able to start eating baby solid food right about now. In the meantime, Cinnamon is still more than happy to help Snickers out and foster.

You know what? I don't know about the purring, but Snickers does seem to suffer from apparent pain when they pile on her for feeding, as if they bite too hard on her or something. She starts yowling and then just jumps out of the cage to run away from her babies, leaving the task of nursing to Cinnamon! Which brings me on to the amazing fact that Cinnamon is still able to lactate weeks after she's been spayed!

Oh, they've been trying to clamor their way out of the cage for a few days now, but we're not letting them take any risks until we're confident that they're ready.

In other news, they've started eating hard food as of yesterday.

Funny to think that in a few months time, these little Angels will be ruling the roost of their new homes with an Iron Paw.

Introducing Mocha!

Meet Mocha! Mocha is a rescue. My wife and our housekeeper found her abandoned at the neighborhood pet shop this Wednesday. The young lady who runs the shop said some [insert your favorite unprintable expletive here because I've run out] had pulled up after closing time the night before and just left her there, and she found her in the morning sitting there terrified and confused. She took her in, checked her for parasites and bugs, showered her, groomed her, fed her, left her to hang around the store as she pleased, and named her Mocha. My wife and the housekeeper were there the same evening to buy supplies and found her there. My wife messaged me a picture and asked if we should take her in and I said yes because of course we could! She immediately made herself at home, found a favorite hiding place, and got involved in growling contests with the other felines. She looks like she's about six to seven months old.
