I was frustrated with todays wordle and it took me 6 guesses. Mrs datlas and daughter #1 both got it in 2 guesses.
Turns out my “hard” solution was different from theirs!!

Yup. The v2 is essentially the same, but it has wooden handles, wands instead of knobs, and a green dial.
It's a wonderfully engineered coffee press.
Cocking the lever lifts a piston, floods a chamber with hot water, and primes a large spring, which then presses the hot water through the coffee grounds. Viola - espresso.

Seems there were two Wordle words today: NYT changes Wordle answer in wake of leaked Supreme Court draft opinion (msn.com)

Pulled one shot, but didn't drink it. It was a little fast, but not far off - fine tuning in the morning shouldn't be an issue. After blipping open the steam wand, I just had to give it a spin, too. Holy guacamole - waaaaay more steam power than I'm used to, but it's nicely adjustable and produced great microfoam.
I might have to wake up early tomorrow, which reminds of the ol', "some people drink coffee to wake up. I wake up to drink coffee."

Have never had a cup of coffee of any kind. Don't even care for mocha. That machine would be lost on me. Looks cool though.

Perfect espresso machine for a roadie because it works the atrophying arms.
I'd read that you do need to be careful and not let the lever slip before it's fully engaged and now I believe it - it's actually a decent amount of force required to pull it down. If it sprang free and caught you in the jaw, it'd be lights-out.

The Porch Pirates did not strike!!!
Now I just gotta get my LBS to pull the old BB, swap in the new one, and install the crankset. Then I can set up the drivetrain and tape the bars. The brakes are already set up.

I can see that. I didn’t start drinking coffee until college, and that was for the caffeine, not the taste. That’s the primary reason I still drink it today, not that I like bad tasting coffee. Maybe 14 Oz. in the morning. I only drink it after the morning if I need to. Maybe after a hard ride that requires a drive home. As as I think I’ve mentioned here, I do not like nearly all chocolate. I have never eaten more than a fork full of chocolate cake. Talk about odd.

Talked with the girl who left for Amazon and she was making (at two years' experience) 15+% more than me at the same title. Glassdoor says it should be even more. Going to have some notes for that.

I cannot be arsed to make fancy coffee, especially first thing in the morning, but I do love my 2-3 large cups of Peet's every day.
